Explore each 999 Nights dungeon on its story route, then return on Challenge difficulty for the blocked branches. A chest left beyond a crystal or later-difficulty passage is a reason to revisit, rather than a sign that the main route has failed.
Regional checklists
Use these region-by-region checklists to plan a sweep. The later branch labels distinguish additional difficulty routes; chest counts cover the listed locations across those routes rather than guaranteeing that every chest is reachable on the first story visit.
Region | Chest entries | Bonfire entries | NPC entries |
|---|---|---|---|
Fuzzy Village | 10 | Service hub | 4 |
Warren Continent overworld | 17 | Central camp | - |
Chocolate Volcano | 57 | 14 | 9 |
Milk Ice Mountain | 62 | 12 | 8 |
Amber Syrup Lake | 45 | 12 | 8 |
Crimson Castle | 55 | 9 | 7 |
Fuzzy Village
The village checklist includes seven Common Chests, two Valuable Chests and a Mysterious Chest. Search the ground-level paths and behind the buildings, then check the roof and upper balcony routes for the Valuable Chests. The Mysterious Chest sits on an elevated roof approach near the central part of the village.
The service NPCs are Appraisal Fuzzy, Innkeeper Fuzzy, Lucky Fuzzy and the Mysterious Fuzzy Merchant. They provide useful landmarks for revisiting the village. Quest starts are spread around the central paths, homes and flower fields; return to the quest board as the story progresses.
For the requests themselves, see Warren Side Quests and Special Challenges.
Chocolate Volcano
The story route passes through the lava chambers, ruins and lifts. Check ledges around the lava, corners behind crates, and the paths beside bonfires. Later routes add chests around additional lava chambers, upper platforms and the central circular structures.
Return on Challenge difficulty to clear the red crystal barriers and enter the additional branches. Some Mysterious Barriers require three nearby braziers. The broken elevator needs a Dusty Gear from the merchant; check the merchant near Bonfire 7, or the Amber Syrup Lake merchant if the earlier story stock differs. Submit the gear, then operate the lever again to call the platform.
Milk Ice Mountain
Search the snowy entrance ruins, elevated ledges, staircase corners and the lift route. Later chests occupy the lower ruins and eastern branches. A platform sent upward without the party can reveal a chest behind the lift.
The blue crystal near the starting ruins remains intact even after Challenge difficulty is unlocked. Reach the room from the opposite side of the structure near Bonfire 6. Other blue barriers in the later sections open when revisiting on Challenge difficulty, providing routes into the underground area and eastern ruins.
Amber Syrup Lake
Search the entrance island, stone bridges, dragon-statue ruins, waterfall paths and the areas around Tempest Tower. Some chests sit beneath structures or on the ledge under a broken bridge. Check the drop before jumping so the party lands on the intended ledge.
The green crystal near Scroll-Leaf Scorpion opens on Challenge difficulty. This connects the southern section, including additional bonfires and chests. Check the side branches and ruined platforms as well as the route to the arena.
Crimson Castle
The chest route climbs from the entrance bridge through the lower arches, inner stairs, lifts, balconies and upper halls. Search behind columns and crates, the lower areas beside stairs and the walkways around the circular chambers. Continue checking the side route after entering the castle proper; the final stair and upper hall sections also contain chests.
The later checklist adds Challenge branch chests and one further Rare Chest labelled N-1. Use the nearby bonfires to split the ascent into manageable sweeps. Gold Pigs, the Shadowred Armored Fuzzy and the two Fuzzy Expeditionists are landmarks along these branches.
The story walkthrough covers the quest order and required escorts. Use the permanent mode's current difficulty selection when returning after the original reward event has ended.
Crystal wall routes

Amber Syrup Lake | Interact with the green crystal on Challenge Mode to open the branch south of Tempest Tower |
Crimson Castle | Climb the wooden structure to the left of the entrance and interact with the crystal wall on the higher route |
999 Nights Mysterious Barriers gives the separate three-brazier solutions.

Use Warren Continent for the overworld chest and challenge starting landmarks. Dungeon routes and higher-difficulty branches use the separate regional checklists above.
