China Release and Testing
September 12, 2026 at 12:58 AM
Initial version (2026-09-11)
Nodusfall is presented as two operations. Globally it is published by HoYoverse under a COGNOSPHERE copyright. In mainland China it runs under miHoYo, on a separate official site, under the title 源初之结 (Yuan Chu Zhi Jie), with its own filings, regulatory notices and pre-registration flow. The two sites are not translations of one another: the Chinese site lists only Chinese social channels and leaves the Western ones blank, and the global site carries none of the Chinese ones.
This matters for practical reasons. Chinese regulation requires disclosures that no other territory does, which is why the fullest first-party description of the game's content exists only in Chinese.

The missing approval number is the significant one. A network culture licence covers a website, not the publishing of a game. Without an approval number a game cannot be released commercially in mainland China, so as of September 11, 2026 there is no sign of commercial clearance there, and no Chinese release date has been given.
The Chinese site carries an age-suitability notice, and it is the most detailed first-party description of the game's content published anywhere. It states the following.
It is a 3D role-playing action game (3D角色扮演类动作游戏), suitable for users aged 16 and over, with minors advised to play under guardian supervision.
It has main and side storylines, advanced through dialogue, interaction and combat against computer-controlled opponents.
Players can freely explore the scene map.
There is a small amount of text-based social functionality between strangers, managed in line with the relevant regulations.
There is real-name verification, with statutory top-up caps and play-time limits applied to verified minors.
The story is set in a fictional world, with a distinctive art design, detailed visuals and original music.
Two details in that notice appear nowhere else first-party: free map exploration, and the split between main and side storylines. The genre string is also different from the global wording, which calls the game a multi-mythology co-op action game. Both are first-party; they describe the same game to different audiences. The spending caps are covered in Monetisation.
Chinese pre-registration is open, and pre-registering leads to a player recruitment questionnaire described as a chance to receive a test qualification. The site's own text points ahead to test-qualification lookup opening later, and the live status behind that page matches: recruitment is open, qualification lookup is closed, and there is no client download.
So no Chinese test has been announced, scheduled or dated. There is no test name, no region list and no stated platform for one. Anything presenting a Chinese beta date as settled is not drawing on the official site.
The Chinese material uses its own names for things the global material names in English. They are the same things.
English | Chinese | Note |
|---|---|---|
Nodusfall | 源初之结 | The official Chinese title. Literally the knot of the primordial source |
织者 | The role the player takes | |
死结 | Literally a dead knot, one that cannot be untied | |
神格技能 | Also shortened to 神格技 in the press release | |
Divine power | 神格之力 | What is taken from defeated enemies |
Chronicles | 众神织录 | The lore section of the official site |
Primordial Myth | 太初神话 | The one unlocked Chronicles entry |
Wield Divinity, Sever the Dreadnodus | 诸神入刃,斩尽死结 | The official slogan |
On August 27, 2026 miHoYo issued Chinese-language press material about the reveal. It frames the game as a brand-new pre-research product, gives the Weaver backstory in more detail than the English post does, names the demo bosses, sets out the three-part build system of weapons, class skills and Divine Skills, and says hiring for the project is ongoing. It also identifies the mythological imagery in the reveal trailer: the ten suns rising together, Qiongqi and the nine-tailed fox from the Classic of Mountains and Seas, and a dragon drawn from Norse myth and the Nibelungenlied.
The release closes with the studio's standard caution that the game is still in development and that everything shown is a development-stage version.
No Chinese release date or window.
No approval number.
No test dates, qualification results or download.
No platform statement specific to China beyond the global position, which confirms PC and leaves everything else undecided.
