11 High Elves call themselves the Cilindrine. They are one of three designed races that are not in the Early Access launch set, alongside the Deep Dwarf and the Troll.

55 This race is not playable when Early Access opens on 1 October 2026. It is a fully designed race with its own lore entry and its own class list, but it is outside the launch set. The official material says only that Early Access carries a subset of the races planned for the 1.0 version. As of September 2026 no release window, patch number or ordering has been published for the three races held back, and none of the official wording promises one.

They are tall, beautiful and almost otherworldly, with powerful physiques, an innate grasp of magic, and a calm, calculated demeanour. The lore then makes the point that they cultivate the sense of superiority all of that produces, rather than merely carrying it.

1517 Purity is the recurring theme in the high elf entry. They consider themselves the only uncorrupted remnants of the Calafrey Conglomerate, an elven empire that once spanned much of the western seaboard of Aêthoril. The empire's collapse is one of the setting's named catastrophes, and the wars that followed it nearly eradicated the deep elves.

1719 They follow strict religious doctrines, are notoriously insular, and are named as one of the least welcoming of the civilized races. The doctrines are real in the lore but unnamed: as of September 2026 no pantheon, deity or faith roster has been published for any race in Monsters & Memories.

2123 A growing faction inside high elf society pushes for greater diplomacy and collaboration with the other races. The official text notes that this infighting has begun to manifest as more than just raucous debate, which is as far as it goes. What that escalation looks like is not described.
