11Windrest is the hub settlement of Mistfall Hunter, the safe haven every expedition starts and ends at. It sits on the continent of Weavereach described on The World and Lore, and it is where you prepare, repair, restock, and bank what you carried out of the mist. Everything you do between runs happens here.223344Preparing for an expedition5566The pre-raid routine runs through a handful of facilities. You allocate talents (resets are free), buy supplies, forge and repair gear, socket affix gems, and then test the result before committing to a run.7788FacilityWhat it doesCazarro's shopThe supply merchant, where you stock up before heading into the mistWorkshopForging and repairs, plus affix gem socketingTraining GroundsA practice space for trying a build or a weapon stance before a real runGoddess StatueHome of the SpringhornVictory WineA consumable boost taken before an expeditionTalent screenTalent allocation with free resets, covered on Progression, Skills, and Talents99Core facilities and the hunters who run them10101111Beyond the pre-run checklist, Windrest holds the systems that persist between expeditions, each attached to a named resident or structure.12121313FacilityWhat it doesQuick LoadoutEquips a saved set of gear and gems in one actionWarehouse and GyldjarPersistent storage, upgradable to hold moreDewHandles class change, letting you move between the six classesPip's Auction HouseThe player-driven market where hunters buy and sell equipment and gemsScavenger SquadAn idle, non-combat unit deployment that gathers resources over timeCollection PedestalA display for the loot you have brought homeTentThe wardrobe, where cosmetic outfits are changedRichie the MerchantA merchant present in Windrest1414Two of these behave differently from the rest across a season boundary. The Warehouse and select camp buildings are wiped when a season rolls over, while the Collection Pedestal is one of the long-term systems that carries through untouched, so loot displayed there survives the reset that clears your storage. The full rollover rules are on Season 1: Soul Hunt.15151616The Scavenger Squad also gained a refresh mechanic on August 19, 2026. Once a task is finished and its rewards claimed, the materials the squad asks for reroll across every mode, which stops a run of unwanted requirements from stalling the deployment.17171818Dew and the resurrected hunter19192020Dew, the fragment of the Fate Goddess who weaves fallen heroes new bodies, is present in Windrest and is the NPC you go to in order to change class. Her role in the setting is covered on The World and Lore.21212222Pip23232424Pip lends a name to several things in and around Windrest: the Auction House, the premium secure stash Pip's Pocket described on Extraction and Gameplay Loop, and cosmetic Pouches and Keychains. The Deluxe edition on Editions and Game Pass bundles an emote set titled Pip's Daily Life, and the first season's task rewards include a Pip's Rare Pouch.25252626Seasonal arrivals27272828Windrest is not static across a season. The first season opens with a mysterious guest arriving in the settlement carrying news that pulls hunters toward an unknown fate, which is the hook the season's tasks hang from. That thread is tracked on Season 1: Soul Hunt.29293030The camp systems themselves, including the building levels that govern forge speed and Scavenger Squad output, are detailed on Progression, Skills, and Talents.31+32+Later additions33+34+Post-launch patches keep naming parts of the camp. The September 3, 2026 update let the Collection Pedestal take upgrade materials in phased submissions, and the September 15 update fixed the Pedestal vanishing after being previewed at camp and stopped stackable items in Pip's Pouch from eating extra inventory slots. The same September 15 patch fixed an interaction with a character called Soekja that could lock a hunter out of all actions; Soekja is also the messenger who, in the developers' August 5 announcement, brought them the news that the game had passed one million hunters. Where Soekja stands and what the character does beyond that have not been described. The Victory Wine boost taken before an expedition had two September fixes of its own: a confirmation pop-up that kept re-prompting, and drink names displaying wrongly on its selection screen on PS5.
