Reavers

Created a dedicated page for the Reavers covering their role, enemy types and the highway set piece
The Reavers are a cybernetic guns-for-hire militia working for Bolivar Trask, and they are the enemy Logan meets most often in Marvel's Wolverine. PlayStation's own copy calls them Trask's guns-for-hire. They are the force that actually carries out the mutant abductions the story is built around.

Reavers fight in groups and lean on hardware. Previews describe their weapons as electrically charged blades, and the roster mixes ranged pressure with close-range specialists so that standing still is punished. Gunfire does not force Logan into cover: he deflects and absorbs bullets with his claws, which keeps a Reaver firefight inside the same forward-pressing loop as a melee brawl. See Combat.
Enemy | Notes |
|---|---|
Reaver rank and file | Cyborg mercenaries fighting in groups |
Brutes | Powerful heavy variants, fought on and around the trucks during the highway set piece |
Shotgun carriers | Close-range specialists that punish standing still |
Electrified melee carriers | Fight with charged weapons in close quarters |
Trask soldiers | Conventional troops garrisoning Bolivar Trask's facilities, fighting alongside the Reavers |
The accessibility options include colour shaders for seven different enemy types, which is the clearest published indication of how many distinct enemy classes ship. See Accessibility Options.
One of the campaign's headline set pieces turns a Reaver convoy into a rolling battlefield. Logan tears down a snowbound highway on a motorcycle, slashing tyres, taking out trucks and hurling enemies off the road, then leaps between moving vehicles to fight whatever the convoy throws at him. Brutes are the heavy element in that fight. The sequence sits in the Canadian leg of the campaign; see Vancouver and Locations.

Environmental kills are part of fighting them. The trophy list records enemies impaled on environmental hazards and a Reaver finished off with molten metal, which points at industrial spaces being usable directly as weapons rather than as scenery. See Trophies.
Reavers are present from the opening mission in Telambang onward, garrisoning Bolivar Trask's outpost alongside The Hand, and they recur through the Canadian and Madripoor legs. They are the baseline the other factions are contrasted against: where the Reavers are heavy and mechanical, The Hand are fast and precise. See Enemies and Factions.
