Team17 is the publisher of LumenTale: Memories of Trey. The company partnered with developer Beehive Studios to publish the monster collector RPG.

Team17 partnered with Beehive Studios on April 24, 2025 to bring LumenTale: Memories of Trey to PC and Nintendo Switch. A senior producer at Team17, Rob Elser, spoke about working alongside the team as Beehive’s vision for the story of Trey came together.
The partnership announcement introduced the game as an upcoming monster collector RPG and highlighted catching Animon with the Holoken, 1v1 duels and 4v4 team battles, up to three ways to trade Animon, crafting and cooking at the Fountain, and the Anispace, where captured Animon live and train.
Team17 is among the longer-established independent game publishers and has worked with many small studios over the years. For Beehive Studios, the LumenTale partnership is the team's first formal publishing relationship after they self-published earlier projects, so it represents a step up in production support, marketing reach, and platform certification.
The publisher handles store-side logistics on Steam and Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo SKU rollout, and the press cycle around the May 26, 2026 launch. The development team at Beehive Studios continues to handle the design and content of the game itself.
Team17 is also supporting Beehive on the planned PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. On September 14, 2026, the publisher's community team said on the game's Steam forum that Beehive was being supported by Team17, which was helping with the porting, while work on Update 1 continued at the same time. As of September 23, 2026, neither console version has a release date.
LumenTale: Memories of Trey was part of Team17's lineup at gamescom 2026 in Cologne, shown at a joint booth with astragon in Hall 6 (B-060) from August 26 to 30, 2026.
