Launch Time and Countdown

The game launched simultaneously worldwide at 12:00 noon ET / 4:00 PM UTC on both Steam and Nintendo Switch, so every region got access at the same moment. The table below shows that launch moment in local time across several regions.

Platforms

The game released on PC through Steam and on Nintendo Switch on the same day. It is also supported on Nintendo Switch 2 with behavior consistent with the original Switch hardware, and Steam Deck is playable. The PC build does not ship on macOS or Linux at launch. It includes online features such as PvP battles and trading, described on the Combat System and Trading pages.

The standard edition is priced at EUR 24.99, with that price applying on both Steam and Nintendo Switch. The launch trailer debuted on May 26, 2026.

PlayStation and Xbox

LumenTale did not launch on PlayStation or Xbox. On August 20, 2026 the developer announced that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are on the way, due later in 2026. No exact console release date has been given, and no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version has been mentioned. That was re-checked on September 13, 2026 against the official microsite, the PlayStation storefront entry, and the Xbox storefront entry, none of which carry a date. Until those builds ship, the only ways to play are on PC through Steam and on the Nintendo Switch family.

Languages

LumenTale: Memories of Trey is available in 8 languages: English, Italian, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese. Interface and subtitles are provided in all eight languages, while full voice acting is available in English.

Storefront Features

On Steam, the game supports Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Family Sharing, Partial Controller Support, and DualSense controller support. Age Ratings

The game is rated PEGI 12 in Europe and carries content descriptors for mild fantasy violence and references to alcohol and tobacco. Other boards land in a similar window: 12 in Germany with violence and alcohol or tobacco descriptors, 14 in Brazil with violence, fear, and inappropriate language descriptors, and 15 in Indonesia with violence, online interaction, and substance descriptors. The announced Xbox version carries an ESRB rating of Everyone.

Pre-Orders and Early Adopter Pack

There were no pre-orders for LumenTale, so the game could only be bought after launch. Instead, players who bought the game during its first month, from May 26 to June 25, 2026, could redeem the Early Adopter Pack, which contained three sets of in-game items ranging from consumables to cosmetics to collectibles. Demo and Development

A free demo was released in February 2026, four months ahead of the full launch, letting players try the opening of the adventure. Save files from the demo are compatible with the full release, so progress you make in the demo carries forward. See Does Demo Progress Carry Over. The release date shifted during development: originally planned for an earlier window, the game was pushed to spring 2026 before settling on its May 26, 2026 date.
