Initial version (2026-08-06): walkthrough for the City of Inventors quest in Arsilia City
City of Inventors is a main quest in LumenTale: Memories of Trey set in Arsilia City, the first city on the northern Logos route. It runs through a pickpocket chase, the Gone Spare sidequest, a visit to the Archives that unlocks Aura infusion for the Holoken, a prison break built around Aura-powered contraptions, the Knequital boss fight, and the Arsilia Squadron match. Its southern-route counterpart is The Great Tree Town. For where it sits in the story, see the List of Main Quests.
Explore Arsilia City.
Pursue the pickpocket.
Talk to Ban and complete the Gone Spare sidequest.
Visit Ban and Mina's house, then the Archives.
Storm the courthouse and enter the prison.
Fight the Knequital.
Do the Match against the Arsilia Squadron.
Follow Ales to the marked position to explore Arsilia. A pickpocket then steals from you and hides in four spots around the city in turn: northeast of your starting point by a tree, in a corner next to a shop to the south, directly east above the escalator huddled next to barrels, and finally northwest at the end of an alley beside the river.
Talk to Ban under the bridge to trigger the Gone Spare sidequest. The vendor asks you to gather spare parts from the abandoned power plant in Area 16. The parts are near the plant entrance close to the fountain, down the path past the chained fence, but a Chompuff swipes them before you can take them. Chase it to the eastern side of the plant and beat it alongside other Chompuffs to get the parts back, then return to the vendor to exchange them for the energy stabiliser Ban needs.
After visiting Ban and Mina's house in the northeastern part of Arsilia and sleeping at the Lumen Club, meet the siblings at the Archives nearby. While waiting, explore the second floor and interact with the exhibits. The display at the far back of the room in the center unlocks the ability to infuse Aura power into your Holoken.
Storm the old courthouse on the western side of Arsilia to find Ban, then head into the prison below. The prison mixes guard battles with Aura-powered contraptions: fan-like mechanisms that you activate by striking them with an Aura Animon equipped in your Holoken, a rotating platform that needs access codes won from guards, and rooms of invisible platforms that Aura power reveals. Two optional rooms are worth the detour: one has a man whose flashlight you can fix for a Protectifruit and a Fightifruit, the other holds a Lumen challenger and a Metal Drum furnishing for the Anispace. Freeing the caged figure deeper in requires activating the optional fan mechanism in the invisible-platform room.
At the courthouse you battle the Animon Knequital to defend Ban's innocence. It fights in two phases, with the second starting once its HP drops to 50% or lower. In phase two it uses Slicing Fury, a high-damage move that hits at least two of your Animon, so spread your team's health and keep healing ready.
After the battle and Ban's trial, Trey overhears the Council of Elders scheming. You are given the choice to follow Ales outside or follow the voices of the council. The choice affects the story but not quest progression; see the List of Choices for details.
Rest at the Lumen Club, register for the Match, and head to the arena south of the club. You fight three squadron members in a row, then challenge squadron leader Bucky in the final battle. Winning wraps up the quest and points you toward the next city.
The next quest on the northern route is The City of Entertainment. See the List of Bosses for every squadron leader and boss.
