Best Team Comp
June 5, 2026 at 12:33 PM
Recommends team compositions for the early game and for the early north and south routes, explaining each Animon's coverage and multi-target moves.
This is a guide to the best team compositions in LumenTale: Memories of Trey. The recommendations below cover the early game before the route split, then separate line-ups for the early stretches of the northern and southern routes. They reflect early-game performance and may change as more of the game is explored. For the standalone rankings these picks draw from, see the Best Animon Tier List and Best Starter.
For the early game, a strong core is Ozelash, Mollupom, Owaxle, and Toxigall, rounded out with supports or any Animon that has a type advantage against your next opponent.

Ozelash is the best starter, since the early areas have few Electric Animon and its evolution has a quirk that makes certain Animon weak to Electric moves. Mollupom, Owaxle, and Toxigall are all obtainable before the Pymant boss battle. Mollupom has great coverage with Geo and Water attacks against many early bosses, and learns Seismic Step, which can damage three enemy Animon at once. Owaxle's Mental Strike likewise hits up to three Animon at once, and it covers Anomalous, Fire, and Virus moves. Toxigall is a good alternative for Demon coverage.
On the early north route, add Doryogun, Birchette, and Rainagon to the core of Ozelash, Mollupom, and Owaxle.
Animon | Role |
|---|---|
Fast Rock and Fire damage | |
Aura coverage | |
Ancient coverage |
Doryogun is easily obtained from the abundant Melotica (Northern) in the north. It has good speed for the damage it deals, so it adds reliable Rock and Fire pressure even where Mollupom and Owaxle already cover. Birchette and Rainagon are evolved forms you can catch before reaching Voltar City; both are fast and strong, and they add Aura and Ancient coverage respectively.
The south has many Grass, Geo, and Water Animon, so bring Animon that counter and resist those types: Cadedro, Sapsy, and Fulgaze.
Animon | Role |
|---|---|
Fire damage against southern Animon | |
Support, debuffs and buffs | |
Chakra and Virus coverage |
Fulgaze, an evolved form of Deniuli, can be caught early in the Scarlet Wood cave, and its Fire moves are often effective against southern Animon. It is preferable to Boobat, which is weak to Geo moves. Cadedro shows up before the first city, Mirasilva, and is an excellent support that resists both Water and Grass, debuffing enemies with Congestion and buffing allies with Pat. Sapsy is commonly found, and its Chakra/Virus typing gives it plenty of attacks against the area's Animon.
