Like or Die is a team-based survival first-person shooter in development at NC. It premiered during the opening night livestream of gamescom on August 25, 2026, having previously been known by the internal codename Project Bonfire.

The premise sits on top of the shooter rather than beside it. Players are in-fiction streamers broadcasting their matches live to an audience across the cosmos on a platform called Quaya Stream, racking up likes with impressive plays. The stated goal is to survive to the end and become Quaya's ultimate star streamer.

The Three Core Systems
The game is built around three systems the studio describes in equal measure:
System | Summary |
|---|---|
Spawns cube blocks anywhere the player chooses, used to build cover or carve new routes. | |
Each team's respawn source. Destroy it and that team can no longer return. | |
Resources bought across the arena, plus airdrops and Lucky Blocks from sponsors. |
The block system is what the studio leans on hardest, to the point that its own trailers tag the game with the phrase block action. How Matches Work covers how the three fit together over the course of a round.
Positioning
NC has described the game as a team-based survival FPS. Some coverage has called it a battle royale, but that is not the studio's own wording, and the confirmed structure of fixed teams with destructible respawn points is not the same shape as a standard battle royale. The safest description is the studio's own.
