A match of Like or Die is a four-way fight broadcast as a live stream. This page collects the confirmed rules and marks clearly where the released material stops.

Confirmed Match Structure
Element | Confirmed detail |
|---|---|
Players per match | 16 |
Teams | 4 |
Players per team | 4, following from 16 split across 4 teams |
Win condition | Be the last team standing. |
Respawns | Available while the team's Nexus is intact, and gone permanently once it falls. |
Arena | A single arena that players move across to secure resources. |
Terrain | Reshapeable at will using the Block Gun. |
The Round Arc
The studio describes matches as escalating. Teams gather resources across the arena and spend them on more powerful weapons and items to boost combat power, while fighting for airdrops and Lucky Blocks sent by sponsors. Meanwhile each team is attacking rival Nexuses and defending its own.
Because a Nexus removes respawns permanently when destroyed, the match becomes progressively less forgiving. NC describes the broadcast reaching a fever pitch as Nexuses collapse one by one, which points to a deliberately escalating structure rather than a flat elimination race.
Two Layers of Decision
The confirmed material implies two ongoing decisions running in parallel. The first is spatial: where to place blocks, whether to wall off a Nexus or open a new approach into someone else's. The second is economic: how to spend resources and which sponsor supplies to contest. The studio states directly that these calls will make or break a team.
The Streaming Layer
Likes are earned through impressive play and the stated goal includes becoming Quaya's ultimate star streamer. Whether likes are purely thematic scoring or feed back into a match mechanic has not been explained. See Quaya Stream.
