This page covers the state of English language support for Huaxia: Warring States and the path that brought English support to the game. The official store listing is the source of truth for the current language list; the snapshot below was current in May 2026.
The current store listing names three languages: English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. The interface, audio, and subtitles all ship with English options. The set of listed languages has narrowed since the original launch announcement, so always check the store page for the live list.
Language | Interface | Audio | Subtitles |
|---|---|---|---|
English | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Simplified Chinese | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Traditional Chinese | Yes | Yes | Yes |
English was not a fully supported language before the paid Early Access launch. Support was promised on the roadmap and then delivered alongside the paid build. The timeline below traces that path.
When | What Happened |
|---|---|
Late August 2025 | A high-traffic community thread requesting English support opened and was pinned. It stayed pinned for months as players asked for progress. |
Early September 2025 | The developer responded to confirm that multi-language localization was on the roadmap. |
Autumn and winter 2025 | The thread tracked progress questions and frustration while localization work continued behind the scenes. |
April 28, 2026 | Full English support landed with the paid Early Access launch. |
After launch | Post-launch patches have continued to refine wording, especially on tooltips and quest descriptions. |
As is common for first-pass localizations of dense, lore-heavy Chinese-language games, the English text mixes accurate translations of historical and philosophical concepts with a few awkward phrasings. Names of retainers and schools of thought generally use a recognizable romanization. The areas below see the most active revision.
Area | State of the English Text |
|---|---|
Core menus and UI | Generally clear. Some interface labels still alternate between two phrasings between updates; these are being reconciled patch by patch. |
Tooltips on rare items and crafting recipes | The most frequent area where wording is still being revised; expect occasional awkward or terse phrasing. |
Quest descriptions | Story-quest text has been rewritten for clarity in post-launch patches; see Quests for the quest layer itself. |
Names and lore terms | Retainer names, school names, and faction names use recognizable romanizations and read consistently. |
Voice and subtitles | Voice lines and English subtitling are tuned together patch by patch. |
Translation bugs and missing strings can be reported through the in-game feedback option or in the official community discussion channels. A useful report includes:
The exact string as it appears in game.
The screen or tooltip where it appears.
The language you have selected.
The build version shown on the title screen.
A screenshot when the problem is a layout or font issue rather than a wording issue.
The same approach applies to the other supported languages: report issues with as much context as possible, and include screenshots when the issue is a layout or font problem rather than a wording problem.
