Cross-Platform

New article covering cross-platform play and shared progression
Honor of Kings: World launches simultaneously on PC and mobile with full cross-platform play enabled. Players on all platforms share the same game servers, can join the same parties, and compete in the same PvP modes. Progression is fully shared across devices through a unified account system.
PC and mobile players exist on the same servers with no platform segregation. Party formation, guild membership, and all multiplayer content are fully cross-platform. There is no option to restrict matchmaking to same-platform players, reflecting the developers' design philosophy that the game should be accessible to everyone regardless of their device.
To address the inherent input differences between PC (keyboard/mouse or controller) and mobile (touchscreen), TiMi Studios implemented aim assistance and auto-targeting options that can be adjusted based on the player's input method. The combat system's lock-on targeting was specifically designed to work well across input types.
All progress—character level, gear, Flow style unlocks, story completion, currency, and inventory—is tied to the player's account rather than to a specific device. Logging in on a different platform picks up exactly where the player left off.
Account binding: players link their game account to an email, social media, or TiMi account
Instant sync: progress syncs in real-time; no manual transfer needed
Settings per device: graphical and control settings are stored locally, so switching devices does not override personal preferences
In-game purchases made on one platform are available on all platforms. Currency purchased on mobile can be spent on PC and vice versa. The pricing is consistent across platforms.
Platforms: PC (Steam, Epic), iOS, Android
