Overview

The playable hero roster in Honor of Kings: World consists of characters drawn from the Honor of Kings MOBA universe, reimagined for open-world action RPG gameplay. At launch, the game features 15 playable heroes, each with unique abilities, backstories, and combat styles.

Hero System

Heroes are not merely cosmetic choices — each one brings distinct combat abilities, elemental affinities, and team synergies. Players can collect heroes through the gacha system (with a 90-pull pity for 5-star heroes) and deploy them as both the main controllable character and as AI-controlled companions in co-op activities.

Origin in Honor of Kings

Honor of Kings (Wang Zhe Rong Yao) is the world's most-played mobile MOBA, developed by TiMi Studio Group with over 260 million monthly active users. The MOBA's roster draws from Chinese history, mythology, and folklore, and Honor of Kings: World reinterprets these characters in a narrative-driven open-world context. Characters retain their iconic designs and thematic identities while receiving expanded backstories and new gameplay mechanics suited to the RPG format.

Team Composition

In multiplayer content, team composition matters. Heroes fulfill different roles — DPS, support, and tank archetypes — and coordinating hero selections with teammates can significantly impact success in boss encounters and raid content.
