Rewritten with confirmed hero details from multiple sources; unconfirmed data flagged
Heroes in Honor of Kings: World are characters from the Honor of Kings MOBA whose fighting styles the Flowborn can channel through the dual Flow system. Rather than directly controlling these heroes as separate characters, the player's own avatar transforms to use their abilities. For example, channeling Kai grants access to his exclusive parry skill with damage immunity.
Players start with several heroes provided through the storyline. More are unlockable through story progression and purchase. The developers have said they eventually aim to include all champions from the original MOBA, though specific pricing for hero purchases was still being determined as of GDC 2025.
The following heroes have been named in gameplay previews or aggregator sources. Note that the full launch roster has not been officially published; third-party sources report 15 heroes across 11 classes at launch, but these numbers are not independently verified.
Lu Bu uses a halberd with spinning attacks and rage burst abilities.
Guan Yu wields the Dragon Moon Blade and can fight on horseback.
Zhao Yun fights with a silver lance and dragon-themed techniques.
Diao Chan uses illusion-based attacks.
Zhou Yu specializes in fire AoE blasts.
Wang Zhaojun uses ice and freezing abilities for crowd control.
Li Bai fights with rapid sword dances.
Ling uses acrobatic parkour-style attacks.
Hou Yi is a bow-wielding archer.
Marco Polo fights with dual pistols.
Cai Wenji provides healing abilities.
Da Qiao creates portals for mobility and utility.
Lead Designer Simon stated at GDC 2025 that support classes are designed to be "a great action experience," not passive healers. Support heroes can switch between healing and DPS roles mid-mission, so players who prefer support aren't locked into a passive playstyle.
