Confirmed ARK-10 as the machine designation on first-party listings, added its 18 metre height and the official renders
Gundam Helix is the high-mobility mobile suit piloted by RE-X in GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT. It is the player-controlled unit and the centerpiece of the game's fast, mobility-driven action. Its model designation is ARK-10, and the development team has put it at 18 metres tall.

As part of an all-new universe, the mobile suit designs in the game differ from established Gundam machines. Gundam Helix is built around speed and agility, enabling high-speed, freely controlled movement across large battlefields. The team has described the design brief as a strong focus on realism, aiming for a machine that feels like a weapon that could plausibly exist in the real world rather than a stylized silhouette.
Its waist and spinal construction was drawn from Gundam ZERO, the lead machine of the announced anime that shares the game's universe, which is one of the visible threads tying the two works together. The game's producer has also framed the suit as needing to read as an extension of the player's own body, which is why it keeps a human-like build.

Concept art published in July 2026 shows Helix from the front and the rear: a heavy-set humanoid frame with layered plating, a bladed head fin, a round sensor set into the back of the head, and a pair of large dorsal thruster housings. It is shown carrying an oversized blade almost as long as the suit is tall, with a compact sidearm in the other hand. In released gameplay screenshots the machine appears in white and light-grey plating picked out with blue accent lines.

ARK-10 has a longer history than the machine's other details. For months it appeared only inside the name of a model kit, which is why earlier coverage treated it as a product label rather than an in-universe model number, and this article said so. That caution is no longer needed: the designation now appears on the game's own mobile suits listing directly beneath the machine's name, and in the publisher's English materials. See Mobile Suits for the full roster.

In early footage, Gundam Helix is shown wielding a large sword as its primary melee weapon. It also uses a hook-shot that latches onto enemies and rapidly pulls the suit toward them, closing distance in an instant. These tools support the game's emphasis on fast, decisive Combat, and the demo shown to press carried three different weapon types rather than a single fixed loadout.
Equipment | Role |
|---|---|
Large sword | Primary melee weapon for close-quarters attacks |
Hook-shot | Grappling tool that latches onto enemies and pulls Gundam Helix toward them |
High-mobility frame | Enables high-speed, freely controlled movement across large battlefields |
Sidearm | Compact firearm carried in the free hand, shown in the official concept art |
Rifle | Longer ranged weapon; screenshots show the suit firing one with the blade stowed on its back |
Gundam Helix is not a fixed unit. Its weapon, thruster and outer frame parts can all be swapped, its stats change with whatever set is mounted, and its colors and outer appearance can be altered independently of its performance. See Customization.
Built for aggression, Gundam Helix closes distance with its hook-shot and overwhelms foes with melee, facing enemy hordes and massive bosses. The announcement trailer shows it taking on a colossal, dragon-like opponent in close combat. See The Unknown Threat for the enemy it fights.
