RE-X is the protagonist and playable character of GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT. He is an ace pilot who takes the controls of the high-mobility mobile suit Gundam Helix in humanity's fight against a powerful unknown threat. In Japanese-language materials, RE-X's name is written as Reks (レクス).
Role
RE-X embodies the game's call to become the pilot you were born to be. He fights alongside a rag-tag crew of unsung soldiers, and the cinematic story follows his journey through the conflict. The development team has framed RE-X as a character the player can put themselves in the position of, experiencing the game through his eyes.
Companion
RE-X is partnered with Vee, a small, round support robot. Vee is a Haro, the kind of companion robot that has long accompanied pilots throughout the Gundam series, and travels with RE-X on his missions.
