Gundam Helix, carrying the model designation ARK-10, is the high-mobility mobile suit piloted by RE-X in GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT. It is the player-controlled unit and the centerpiece of the game's fast, mobility-driven action.
As part of an all-new universe, the mobile suit designs in the game differ from established Gundam machines. Gundam Helix is built around speed and agility, enabling high-speed, freely controlled movement across large battlefields.
The team has described the design brief as a strong focus on realism, aiming for a machine that feels like a weapon that could plausibly exist in the real world rather than a stylized silhouette. Its waist and spinal construction was drawn from Gundam ZERO, the lead machine of the announced anime that shares the game's universe, which is one of the visible threads tying the two works together. The game's producer has also framed the suit as needing to read as an extension of the player's own body, which is why it keeps a human-like build.
Concept art published in July 2026 shows Helix from the front and the rear: a heavy-set humanoid frame with layered plating, a bladed head fin, a round sensor set into the back of the head, and a pair of large dorsal thruster housings. It is shown carrying an oversized blade almost as long as the suit is tall, with a compact sidearm in the other hand. Merchandise renders give the finished machine a white and pale-violet color scheme with a tan chest collar, red feet and green eyes.
In early footage, Gundam Helix is shown wielding a large sword as its primary melee weapon. It also uses a hook-shot that latches onto enemies and rapidly pulls the suit toward them, closing distance in an instant. These tools support the game's emphasis on fast, decisive Combat.
