Grand Theft Auto VI is the first mainline Grand Theft Auto title built exclusively for current-generation consoles. It does not run on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. The console releases share a single November 19, 2026 launch date.
Rockstar Games has not announced a PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI. There is no Steam store page, no Rockstar Games Launcher listing, and no PC release window has been stated. Checked September 23, 2026, including Take-Two's annual meeting of stockholders on September 17, 2026, where no PC version was announced. Any PC system requirements published prior to an official announcement are not authoritative and are excluded from this wiki.
The PlayStation Store lists Grand Theft Auto VI as PS5 Pro Enhanced without stating what the badge delivers. Beyond that label, Rockstar has published no PlayStation 5 Pro performance details of any kind.
In August 2026 Rockstar North's head of development told attendees at a hands-off preview event that the console builds were running at 30 frames per second at that stage of development, and that whether a 60 fps option ships at launch or later had not yet been decided. That is a description of a development build, not a published shipping target, and Rockstar itself has announced nothing about frame rate.
Rockstar has published no resolution target, no frame-rate target and no ray-tracing mode for the base PlayStation 5, the PlayStation 5 Pro, the Xbox Series X or the Xbox Series S. No 40 fps mode and no 120 Hz mode has been announced. Figures circulating from third-party video analysis of trailer and showcase footage are measurements of a video, not published specifications, and are not carried here. Checked September 12, 2026 against both console storefronts and Rockstar's own published material.
Rockstar has not published an install size for Grand Theft Auto VI. No storage figure has been published for either console.
Grand Theft Auto VI runs on Rockstar’s proprietary RAGE engine. See the dedicated article for a summary of what Rockstar has shown about the engine version used for this game.
