Radio Stations

Grand Theft Auto VI has in-game radio, and Rockstar has named seven stations as of October 19, 2026. Six of them were previewed on October 8, 2026, and the seventh, Coral Chorus, appeared on a car radio in a 2025 screenshot. A V-Rock t-shirt appears in Trailer 2, but no playable V-Rock station has been confirmed. The t-shirt is set in Vice City, the game's setting. Both official trailers feature licensed music playing on in-car radios, and multiple real-world artists have publicly confirmed their involvement in the game's soundtrack.
Stations Named by Rockstar
On October 8, 2026 Rockstar added a radio section to the official Grand Theft Auto VI website with short audio previews of six stations, each mixing host chatter with music, and said these are not all of the game's stations. In a post the same day it described the game's radio as "the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet", with stations spanning classic rock, modern hip-hop, pop, metal, dance, Latin, 1980s music, electronic, blues, ballads, talk radio and podcasts. The table below lists every station Rockstar has named, with the format and hosts as Rockstar's own copy describes them.
Station | Format as described by Rockstar | Hosts named in Rockstar's copy |
|---|---|---|
Cocoteo FM | Modern Latin music, from bachata and merengue to dembow and reggaeton | El Martillo and La Gata |
Back Country Radio | Renegade country music, broadcast to the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn and beyond | MW and Delta Dawne, with roving reporter Mud Dog Mike |
AfroBank FM | African music, from 20th-century classics and undiscovered gems to contemporary sounds such as amapiano and 3-step | Burna and Palmsy |
The Chamber 106.6 | Classic metal from the 1980s and beyond | DJ Kerry and DJ Tom |
Flash FM | Pop music; described as a Vice City institution | Robyn and Alex |
Dirty South Classics | Regional rap and hip-hop classics | Trick and Trina |
Coral Chorus | Not announced; the name appears on a vehicle's radio display in a May 2025 screenshot | Not announced |
Back Country Radio's copy is the most detailed of the six. Alongside hosts MW and Delta Dawne it introduces Mud Dog Mike, the station's roving reporter and swamp meteorologist, who checks in from the driver's seat of his Grassrivers airboat and is described as Delta's not-so-secret lover.
Podcasts and Listening on Foot
The October 2026 announcement also introduced a series of on-demand podcasts, which Rockstar described as a first for the series. Both the radio and the podcasts can be heard in vehicles and on foot, through newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to the protagonists' smartphones, so listening can continue after the player leaves a vehicle. See In-Game Phone and Apps for the phone itself. The announcement did not name any podcast, and Rockstar said more on the game's music and the album was still to come.
Reported Hosts
Rockstar's copy gives the hosts' on-air names only. On the day of the preview several well-known musicians were reported as the performers behind those names, and Lana Del Rey and RaiNao spoke publicly about their parts: RaiNao said the station reflects her community's slang, music and traditions, and Del Rey called her role a privilege. Rockstar's own announcement does not identify any performer, so the table below records reports rather than credits, as of October 13, 2026.
Station | On-air hosts | Reported performers |
|---|---|---|
Cocoteo FM | El Martillo, La Gata | Bad Bunny and RaiNao (which of them voices which host has not been settled) |
Back Country Radio | MW, Delta Dawne, Mud Dog Mike | Morgan Wallen as MW, Lana Del Rey as Delta Dawne, Jeremy Dufrene as Mud Dog Mike |
AfroBank FM | Burna, Palmsy | Burna Boy and DJ Palms Trax |
The Chamber 106.6 | DJ Kerry, DJ Tom | Kerry King and Tom Araya of Slayer |
Flash FM | Robyn, Alex | Robyn and Alex Consani |
Dirty South Classics | Trick, Trina | Trick Daddy and Trina |
Rockstar did not publish tracklists for the previews. Listeners identified songs in them including "Electric Feel" by MGMT, "Raining Blood" by Slayer and "Don't Come Home a Drinkin'" by Loretta Lynn. These identifications are not an official station playlist.
Station Status
V-Rock
V-Rock has not been confirmed as a playable station in Grand Theft Auto VI. The sole piece of evidence is a V-Rock t-shirt worn by Jason in Trailer 2. A garment bearing a station's logo establishes that the brand exists in the world, but it does not establish that the station is on the radio dial, and Rockstar has published nothing further about it.
Coverage of the August 2026 Extended Look did not name a single radio station. The first stations after Coral Chorus were named in Rockstar's October 8, 2026 preview, and V-Rock was not among them. Treat any station list circulating outside Rockstar's own announcements as unverified.
Coral Chorus
Coral Chorus is one of the seven Grand Theft Auto VI radio stations Rockstar has named, and the only one that was not part of the October 2026 preview. The name is visible on a vehicle's radio display in one of the 70 official screenshots released alongside Trailer 2 in May 2025. Its genre, playlist and hosts had not been announced as of October 13, 2026.
The Official Album
On September 17, 2026, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, 34 original tracks set for release on November 19, 2026, with six singles out on the day of the announcement two more released on October 8, 2026, and a ninth, "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice, on October 15, 2026. As of October 19, 2026, Rockstar has not said whether any album track plays on an in-game station. It presented "Flower in a Hurricane" as a song by the composers of the game's original score that features in the Launch Trailer and on the album, not as a radio track. See Soundtrack for the released singles.
Confirmed Trailer Songs

Six songs have been positively identified across the two official trailers. Trailer 1 used a single featured track, while Trailer 2 incorporated multiple songs as brief radio snippets heard during driving sequences.
Song | Artist | Trailer | Context |
|---|---|---|---|
Love Is a Long Road | Tom Petty | Trailer 1 | Featured track for the entire trailer; Spotify streams surged roughly 37,000% |
Hot Together | The Pointer Sisters | Trailer 2 | Main featured song; Spotify streams surged 182,000% within two hours |
Everybody Have Fun Tonight | Wang Chung | Trailer 2 | Brief car radio snippet during a driving sequence |
Thunder Island | Jay Ferguson | Trailer 2 | Background radio snippet during a scene with Jason and Brian Heder |
Talkin' to Myself Again | Tammy Wynette | Trailer 2 | Radio snippet during Jason's driving sequence |
Child Support | Zenglen | Trailer 2 | Haitian kompa track; plays as a radio snippet while Jason drives |
The inclusion of Zenglen's "Child Support" is particularly notable. Zenglen is a Haitian kompa band, and the song's presence in the trailer reflects Vice City's large Haitian community, mirroring real-life Miami's significant Haitian population. The trailer songs span rock, pop, country, kompa and R&B, though none of them has been confirmed as station content.
Only Raw Records
Only Raw Records is an in-game hip-hop record label confirmed on the official Rockstar Games website. The label is run by two characters: Dre'Quan Priest (a former street-level dealer turned music industry figure) and Boobie Ike (who owns the Jack of Hearts strip club, real estate, and a recording studio). The label is part of the game's fictional music scene, with its own signed artists.
Real Dimez
Real Dimez are a fictional rap duo signed to Only Raw Records. The duo consists of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, who appear in Trailer 1 dancing on top of a car during a street takeover scene. Their inclusion points to fictional in-world music existing alongside licensed real-world tracks, though Rockstar has not said whether their songs play on the radio.
Artist Self-Confirmations
Several real-world musicians have publicly confirmed their involvement in GTA VI, though the specifics of their roles (radio station DJs, featured artists, or voice actors) vary.
Artist | Confirmation | Details |
|---|---|---|
T-Pain | Twitch livestream | Confirmed involvement on stream; said Rockstar asked him to stop playing on a third-party roleplay server because of his role |
ScHoolboy Q | X (Twitter) | Replied to a fan in February 2024 that he would be in the game |
Panama | Social media reply (since deleted) | Said in a since-deleted reply that their song "Back to Life", a collaboration with Poolside, would appear; unverified |
Lana Del Rey | Statement reported in October 2026 | Reported as the voice of Delta Dawne on Back Country Radio; spoke publicly about the role |
RaiNao | Statement reported in October 2026 | Reported as a host of Cocoteo FM; spoke publicly about lending her voice to the game |

Music Streaming Impact
Both trailers had a measurable effect on real-world music streaming. Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road" (1989) saw its Spotify streams surge roughly 37,000% after Trailer 1's release in December 2023. The Pointer Sisters' "Hot Together" (1986) experienced an even larger spike of 182,000% within two hours of Trailer 2's release in May 2025. These numbers are consistent with the trailer viewership records documented in the awards and reception article.
