Revision 1

Overview

The Leonida Keys Safehouse is the first property the player has access to in Grand Theft Auto VI. It is a stilt house in Key Lento, raised above the waterline on the Leonida Keys island chain, and it belongs to Jason Duval at the start of the game.

The Property

Like other safehouses it serves as a place to save progress, change clothes and store vehicles, the baseline role described on the economy and properties page.

The Arrangement with Brian Heder

Jason does not own the house. It belongs to Brian Heder, a veteran drug runner who lets Jason live there rent-free in exchange for collecting debts from the other tenants. That arrangement is the thread that ties Jason into Heder's network at the opening of the story, and it means the starting safehouse doubles as an obligation rather than simply a base.

Lucia

After Lucia Caminos is released from Leonida Penitentiary, she moves into the Key Lento house with Jason. The safehouse is therefore shared rather than tied to a single protagonist, which matters given how character switching works elsewhere in the game.

Edition-Exclusive Vehicles

The Ultimate Edition adds two vehicles that Rockstar's product copy calls Jason's safehouse vehicles: a Dinka Enduro motorcycle in army fatigue tones, and a Crest kayak. The copy does not name which safehouse they are parked at, so their placement at this property is an inference rather than a stated fact.

What Is Not Known

• Whether the house can be upgraded, redecorated or lost.

• How many vehicles it stores.

• Whether the debt-collecting arrangement changes as the story progresses.
