Deluxe pre-order code note reworded to what the support page states; dropped quotation marks from a non-verbatim artwork phrase
11Marvel's Wolverine ships in two digital editions plus a physical disc release, with a paid upgrade path between them. Pre-orders opened on June 2, 2026, pre-loading opened on September 8, and the game released on September 15, 2026.22One storefront quirk was visible in the run-up to launch. The United States listing displays a September 15, 2026 release date, while the United Kingdom, German and Japanese listings display September 14. The Japanese-language official announcement states September 15. The pattern is consistent with a single global unlock moment shown in different time zones rather than with different release dates, but no first-party text explains it.44Editions and pricing77EditionUSDGBPEURJPYStandard Edition$69.99£69.99€79.99¥8,980Digital Deluxe Edition$79.99£79.99€89.99¥9,980Digital Deluxe Upgrade$10.00£10.00€10.00¥1,00099The Digital Deluxe Upgrade converts a Standard Edition purchase into the Deluxe contents after the fact, so buying the base game first does not lock you out of the extras. Its storefront listing carries exactly the same contents as the full Deluxe Edition. A physical disc edition is also sold, and in Japan it carries a recommended price of 8,980 yen including tax, the same as the digital Standard Edition. Owners of a disc copy receive several accessibility features, along with Photo Mode, through an update at launch rather than on the disc itself.1010Every edition carries the same language support: 12 voice languages and 20 screen languages, listed on Technical Features and Performance.1212Digital Deluxe contents1414On top of the base game, the Digital Deluxe Edition includes five suits, five claw types, and three Technique Points.1616TypeItemsSuitsIncredible, Savage, Age of Apocalypse, Night Hunt, New Leather. Every other official listing uses Night Hunt, which is the name used here.2323Pre-order bonuses2525Pre-ordering any edition grants an early unlock of the Classic Brown Suit, an early unlock of the Reflective Claws, one Technique Point, and four PlayStation avatars. Both cosmetic items are early unlocks rather than exclusives, so they are obtainable in the base game later.2727Two support notes published after launch cover how those items appear. Pre-order and Digital Deluxe items are gated by a BONUS CONTENT toggle under ALL SETTINGS when starting a new save; it is on by default, and switching it on is the fix if the content is missing. Digital Deluxe buyers already hold the pre-order bonuses, including the early unlocks and the avatars, and do not receive a separate code for them.28+Two support notes published after launch cover how those items appear. Digital Deluxe buyers already have the pre-order bonuses, including the early unlocks and the avatars, so a pre-order code that will not redeem is expected for them.2929How many Technique Points3232The official FAQ on the product page settles this. It lists the Digital Deluxe Edition as containing three Technique Points, and separately lists the pre-order incentives that come with it as the Classic Brown Suit early unlock, the Reflective Claws early unlock, one Technique Point and four avatars. Three plus one is four, which is the figure the storefront contents list shows for a Deluxe pre-order and which the edition artwork's "plus three Technique Points" refers to as the Deluxe-exclusive portion. All three published figures describe the same thing from different angles. A Standard Edition pre-order gets one point; a Deluxe purchase gets three; a Deluxe pre-order gets four.33+The official FAQ on the product page settles this. Suits are not purely cosmetic: Insomniac has stated that acquiring suits grants health upgrades, so the exclusive Deluxe suits sit inside a progression system rather than beside it. The exclusive designs are Deluxe-only, but suits and claws in general are obtainable in the base game through standard progression, so the edition buys designs rather than a mechanic. See Suits and Claws.3838Technique Points are the clearer case. They are a real progression currency, and the points granted up front are points you would otherwise have to earn. See Progression and Upgrades.4040Rating and content descriptors4242Ratings and descriptors differ by territory, and the set of descriptors is not the same everywhere. The game carries an In-Game Purchases interactive element on the storefronts that flag one.4444TerritoryRatingDescriptorsNorth AmericaESRB MatureBlood and Gore, Drug Reference, Intense Violence, Partial Nudity, Strong Language, plus In-Game PurchasesEuropePEGIViolence, Language, plus In-Game PurchasesGermanyUSKDrastic violence, plus in-game purchasesJapanCERO ZSale restricted to buyers aged 18 and over. None of it is game content, and buying it does not unlock anything in game beyond the voucher included in the bundle. The design is drawn from Insomniac's own Battle Reborn suit, and the range comes in two finishes, Battle Yellow and Adamantium.5151ItemNotesPS5 Digital Edition Battle Yellow bundleConsole with limited-edition covers, a matching DualSense controller, and a full game voucher that includes the pre-order digital contentDualSense wireless controller, Battle YellowSold separatelyDualSense wireless controller, AdamantiumSold separately, with a metallic finish and see-through claw marksPS5 console covers, Battle YellowFit CFI-2000 model group consoles, with or without a disc drivePS5 Pro console covers, Battle YellowSold separatelyPS5 Pro console covers, AdamantiumSold separately; the Adamantium finish is offered for PS5 Pro only5454In-game purchases5555Storefront listings in every territory carry an in-game purchases flag, and the European and German ratings carry the matching descriptor. As of September 21, 2026, re-checked against the product page and its FAQ, all four regional storefront listings, the studio's own support pages and its posts, nothing describes what those purchases are, and no launch coverage explains the model either. Nothing further is documented here until it is.
