The Twelve Legendary Arms are among the most powerful weapons and armor in Final Fantasy Resonance. Square Enix detailed them on July 16, 2026 as one of the game's named high-difficulty tracks.

How to Claim Them

Twelve pieces of equipment lie sealed at points scattered across the world. Each one can only be claimed after breaking its seal and defeating the ruthless monstrosity sealed within it. Japanese material describes the reward as the strongest weapons and armor in the game, and frames the whole track as preparation for taking on even greater foes.

The Chamber of Arms

If you are unsure where one of these weapons is located, you can visit the Chamber of Arms, a room somewhere in the world where hints for each of the twelve can be viewed. It functions as the hunt's index rather than as a fast route to the rewards.

The September 2026 Restatement

Square Enix returned to the track on September 10, 2026 with a dedicated entry in its Japanese video series on the game's completionist content, and named the entry for the Chamber of Arms itself. The description matches the July account and sharpens one point: twelve arms lie scattered across the world behind seals, a boss sleeps inside each seal, and defeating that boss is what releases the arm. The reward is again given as the strongest weapons and armor in the game. The Japanese Steam store description, rewritten ahead of the free demo, names the Chamber of Arms directly as well.

Related Optional Content

Other optional tracks were named later and sit alongside this one: Mighty Foes presiding over the caverns that dot the land, Secret Dungeons set apart from the main story, and the endgame fights against Gilgamesh and Ultima Weapon. The Colosseum is the other high-difficulty track Square Enix detailed on the same day. Square Enix added one more optional opponent on September 3, 2026: Sephiroth, whom players can find and challenge for a special reward. He has not been placed inside any of the tracks above, so he is recorded at Side Content and Endgame.

Not Yet Detailed

As of October 23, 2026, the individual weapons, their stats, the names of the bosses guarding them, and the Chamber of Arms's location have not been published, and the September 10 restatement adds none of them. This track is separate from Aileen's adamantite forging, which is its own weapon source.

Ancient equipment and guardian trials

An Ancient equipment piece is the base for its corresponding Legendary Arm. Take the base to its pedestal in the Chamber of Arms and start the level 50 trial. Defeating the guardian transforms that base into the Legendary Arm listed below.

After clearing the level 50 trial, its level 75 trial becomes available once the required character reaches level 70 or higher. Defeat the guardian again to upgrade the Legendary Arm to its + version.
