Tidus
September 12, 2026 at 08:01 AM
Added the August 31 Vision video, separated the press-release naming from the wider announcement period, and added How to Obtain and Resonance sections
Tidus is one of the legacy Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance. Square Enix named him among the Visions at announcement and detailed his kit on July 16, 2026. The official character page pairs him with FINAL FANTASY X. A dedicated English-language Vision video followed on August 31, 2026, inviting players to battle alongside Tidus, resonate with his Vision within the Sanctum of Light, and unleash his abilities in combat.

Square Enix introduces him as a renowned blitzball player from Zanarkand. As a Vision he turns the tide of battle by increasing the party's speed with Haste, then assailing his foes with wind and water physical attacks to stagger them.
Detail | Value |
|---|---|
Origin | FINAL FANTASY X |
Support | Haste, increasing the party's speed |
Elements | Wind and water, delivered as physical attacks |
Specialty | Staggering enemies |
He is one of three Visions Square Enix named in the announcement press release itself, and a further eight were named across the wider announcement period. The other two in the press release were Cloud and the Warrior of Light.
Tidus's Vision is claimed at a vision crystal sanctum, one of the Sanctums of Light erected across the world, where stepping inside lets you revisit a story from the original game before taking the crystal waiting there. Every Vision is earnable in-game; the producer said none of them is sold as DLC. Magicite gathered on the journey awakens his Vision across three stages, each stage asking a higher grade than the last and each raising the abilities and the level of the skills and magic it teaches, as set out at Vision Awakening. Abilities learned from him stay equippable while another Vision is active, within the cost limit described at Abilities and Mastery.
Each Vision powers a unique Resonance attack, unleashed at the end of the bonus phase after a sweeping stagger and limited to one use per sweeping stagger, with a cinematic unique to the Vision; legacy heroes' sequences render in full 3D. As of 12 September 2026, Tidus's own Resonance has not been individually detailed. For the full roster of named Visions, see List of Visions.
