Towns in Final Fantasy Resonance host minigames that pay out rewards. Square Enix confirmed them on July 16, 2026 as part of the game's completionist layer and named two of them, then named the city each of those two sits in during September 2026.
Confirmed Minigames
Minigame | What It Is | Where |
|---|---|---|
Jump rope | A test of timing | |
Mog Tag | A chase where you try to catch wily moogles |
Square Enix's wording is that each town along the way offers minigames worth playing well, so the two named above are examples rather than the complete set. Clearing one pays out items.
Where Minigames Sit
Minigames are one of several confirmed optional tracks. The side quests include a hunt for Tablet Shards scattered across the world, which pays out items in proportion to how many you have collected, and Lid's mechanical chocobo Mechabo has a dedicated sub-quest line of its own that teaches it new techniques. At the harder end sit the Colosseum and the Twelve Legendary Arms, along with the Mighty Foes that guard the caverns dotting the land and the optional Secret Dungeons. Minigames are framed as light content rather than an endgame check.
