Firion is one of the legacy Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance. Square Enix published his profile in official press material dated August 24, 2026, and the realm it names, Palamecia, pointed at FINAL FANTASY II. The pairing is no longer an inference: the official Japanese character page carries a sixteen-slot sprite gallery captioned with an entry title and a character name for every slot, and Firion's sprite is captioned FINAL FANTASY II. His reveal closed out the legacy roster, and as of 11 October 2026 all sixteen numbered entries from FINAL FANTASY through FINAL FANTASY XVI have a named Vision, with no seventeenth slot in that gallery. A dedicated English-language Vision video followed on September 2, 2026, inviting players to battle alongside Firion, resonate with his Vision within the Sanctum of Light, and unleash his abilities in combat.

Square Enix introduces him as a young man who joins the rebel army, seeking to take down the emperor of Palamecia. That sentence is the whole of the background published for him here, and it describes his own realm rather than events in this game's world.
As a Vision, Firion excels at staggering enemies, and he does it with physical attacks carrying Wind, Lightning and Light. Three elements on a single physical attacker give the party answers against a wide band of enemy resistances, and the payoff sits in the Resonance Attacks system: staggering every enemy in one turn is what lets a Vision unleash one.
