Added equipment slots, Chapter 1 gear stats and acquisition routes, and accessory options
Equipment changes a character's stats through one weapon, one armor piece, and two accessories. Weapons have character-specific restrictions. Light armor is shared across the party, while other armor types have their own compatibility restrictions.
Weapon families are greatswords, katanas, bows, hammers, grimoires, whips, guns, and rods. Armor is divided into light armor, heavy armor, and robes. Check the equipment screen for compatible pieces before comparing their bonuses.
These are early equipment choices available within the Chapter 1 route covered by the free demo. The values below are equipment bonuses, not a character's final stats.
Equipment | Bonuses | Acquisition |
|---|---|---|
Flamberge | Physical Attack +41; Magic Attack +19; HP +140 | Dream of an Idealist reward |
Iwakirimaru | Physical Attack +37; Magic Attack +27; MP +20 | The Weight of Mercy reward |
Claymore | Physical Attack +39; Magic Attack +18 | Grandport Harbor: 1,400 Gil |
Crescent Bow | Physical Attack +33; Magic Attack +27; Sanctity +20 | Grandport Harbor: 1,600 Gil |
Surcoat | Physical Defense +42; Magic Defense +36; HP +80 | Grandport Harbor: 980 Gil |
Spirit Veil | Physical Defense +32; Magic Defense +46; Sanctity +13 | Grandport Harbor: 750 Gil |
Rain can use Flamberge and Claymore. Iwakirimaru is for Lasswell, while Fina uses Crescent Bow. Surcoat is light armor; Spirit Veil is a robe.
The two accessory slots let a character combine stat bonuses with protection against a specific ailment.
Accessory | Benefit | Early acquisition |
|---|---|---|
Earrings of Health | HP +70 | |
Mage's Glasses | MP +15 | Grandshelt: 800 Gil |
Monk's Prayer Beads | Charm prevention | Grandport Harbor: 1,500 Gil |
A second route to Monk's Prayer Beads is a chest on the second floor of Siren's Tower, reached by descending from the third floor. This gives the party a way to obtain the accessory without buying it.
