Added that Camille's Water and Earth attacks are physical; re-dated open questions
Camille is one of the Visions drawn from Final Fantasy Resonance's own cast rather than from an earlier entry in the series. Square Enix published her profile in official press material dated August 24, 2026.
Square Enix introduces her as a seasoned mercenary monster hunter. Nothing else about her background had been published as of 11 October 2026, including who she has worked for or how the party meets her.
Camille attacks with Water and Earth, and she can obtain an array of abilities that grant exceptional strength and speed. The wording is worth reading closely: those abilities are described as something she can obtain rather than something she brings with her, which lines up with the two published routes for widening a Vision's kit: bond strength and Vision Awakening. Which of the two delivers hers had not been stated as of 11 October 2026.
Square Enix's August 2026 material, in both English and Japanese, did not say whether her Water and Earth attacks are physical or magical, but an official Japanese Vision video published on 28 September 2026 settles it: they are physical attacks, and she acquires many abilities that raise physical attack and speed.
Detail | Value |
|---|---|
Background | Seasoned mercenary monster hunter |
Elements | Water and Earth |
Attack type | Physical, per the Japanese Vision video of 28 September 2026 |
Trait | Can obtain an array of abilities granting exceptional strength and speed |
Unlock conditions | Not published as of 11 October 2026 |
Upgrade path | Vision Awakening across three stages, using magicite |
Monster hunting is also a player activity here. Mighty Foes preside over the many caverns dotting the land, and defeating one grants magicite, the material that awakening a Vision consumes. Square Enix has not connected Camille to that content, so the overlap is thematic rather than mechanical until stated otherwise.
Her unlock conditions had not been detailed as of 11 October 2026. Like every Vision she is earnable in-game with no DLC, and abilities learned from her stay equippable while another Vision is active, within the cost limit described at Abilities and Mastery. For the full roster, see List of Visions.
