Added a Balance History section covering the July and August 2026 passes and the stated reasoning behind the Analyze adjustment
11Each partner you take on a quest contributes two named abilities on top of their ordinary attacks: a Combination Skill and a Support Skill. Both differ from partner to partner, which is the main reason partner choice carries roughly the same weight as weapon choice.2233The Two Resources4455Skill TypeResourceHow It BuildsSupport SkillSupport SPEarned by attacking monsters. A partner's support ability, ranging from healing and buffs to reconnaissance.Combination SkillCombo SPA powerful linked sword technique performed together with the partner, aimed squarely at tough enemies.66Because both pools fill through combat rather than regenerating on a timer, a cautious opening to a fight leaves you without either. This pairs with the Switch System, where pressure and defence trade off against each other moment to moment.7788Full Skill List991010The ten partners and their two abilities each. Raises attack, plus a weapon-specific bonus: Sword Skill damage for swords and two-handed swords, attack speed for rapiers and daggers, and down rate for maces and two-handed axes.1313Reading the Table for a Build14141515A few pairings stand out once the whole list is in view. Wyzeman's two abilities are designed to feed each other, since one applies Dazed and the other pays out against it. Stina's pair works the same way through Weakened. Lisbeth's Reinforcement is the only ability that changes shape based on the weapon you are holding, which makes her value depend on your own weapon type rather than on the fight.16161717Agil's Taunt is the clearest defensive reset in the roster, because it moves aggro wholesale rather than mitigating damage. Iori's Healing Circle is the closest thing to sustained healing, and is the recommended answer to long fire-heavy boss phases where Burning keeps ticking.18181919Levelling Partners20202121Partners are equipped and improved separately from your own character. Keeping the partner you run most often in current gear at the smithy raises their damage and survivability directly, which in turn means more frequent skill activations because both SP pools fill from combat participation.22+23+Balance History24+25+Support Skills and Combination Skills are actively balanced, so a skill’s standing can shift between patches. Two passes have touched them so far.26+27+The July 2026 pass adjusted Sword Skill, Combination Skill, and Support Skill performance as a group, without naming individual skills or publishing numbers.28+29+The August 7, 2026 pass was specific. Argo’s Support Skill Analyze had its Support SP increase and additional-damage correction reduced, and the notes explain why in unusually plain terms: the buff was strong enough that it was narrowing which partners players were willing to bring. That is the clearest statement so far of how the team thinks about this layer. The goal is a roster where several partners are defensible picks for a given quest, not a single correct answer.30+31+The practical reading for a player is that if one partner feels obviously mandatory, that is the kind of thing the team has shown it will adjust. Full patch detail is on Update History.
