Comprehensive content update with White Bear location, disguise function, and combat strategy
White Bear Helm is a legendary headgear item in Crimson Desert obtained by defeating the White Bear, a legendary predator and one of the 24 legendary animals in the game. The helm is crafted from the hardy hide of the White Bear and is made from roughly tanned leather and fur that still reeks of the beast. This animal scent gives the White Bear Helm a functional bear disguise effect.

The White Bear Helm drops from the White Bear, a legendary predator located in the far northwest corner of the world map in the Pailune region. The White Bear spawns in a remote snowy area near the top-left edge of the map, close to where the Darkbringer location can be found. The bear is accompanied by two cubs.
To reveal the White Bear's location on the map, defeat Black Fang and use Leebur's Soul from your inventory. The map marker will appear in the far northwest, making it easy to find even though the area is remote.
The White Bear is a large, powerful legendary predator with heavy melee attacks. It swipes with its massive paws, charges forward, and can perform ground-slam attacks that deal area damage. The White Bear has a substantial health pool and hits harder than most other legendary animals.
Fire damage: Fire is extremely effective against bears. Fire attacks cause the White Bear to drop and roll on the ground, giving you several seconds of uninterrupted damage. Flame Strike is the recommended skill.
Avoid frontal attacks: The bear's paw swipes have wide arcs. Stay behind or to the side when attacking.
Watch for the cubs: The White Bear is accompanied by two cubs that may attack alongside it. They are weak and can be dealt with quickly, but ignoring them can lead to chip damage.
Cold environment: The northwest corner of the map is a cold, snowy area. Your stamina may drain faster without cold-resistant gear. Consider wearing ice-resistant armor for the trip.
Bring healing items: Braised Meat and Meat Skewers are essential. The bear hits hard enough that even well-geared players will need recovery.
The White Bear Helm has a special "Bear Disguise" property. When wearing this helm, bears in the world are less likely to treat you as hostile on sight. This is part of Crimson Desert's wildlife disguise system, where certain animal-themed equipment pieces reduce aggression from the corresponding animal type. The item's flavor text ("reeks of the beast") reflects the scent-based nature of this disguise mechanic.
The bear disguise is particularly useful when traversing areas populated by bears, allowing you to pass through without triggering combat. Other animal disguise helms include the Silver Fang Helm (wolf disguise) and the Alpha Wolf Helm (another wolf disguise).
