Overview

Troubled Count is the second faction quest in the Estate in Dismay chain for House Roberts in the Duchy of Hernand. After proving himself by clearing the cask house in First Trial of Trust, Kliff is invited to Bluemont Manor to meet Count Leon Roberts in person. The Count explains that his family's quarry has been seized by Bleed Bandits and asks Kliff to reclaim it.

Quest Details

Objectives

1. Travel to Bluemont Manor in the City of Hernand

2. Speak with Erich at the manor entrance

3. Enter the manor and speak with Count Roberts (Leon Roberts) on the second floor

4. Listen to the Count's concerns about Karin Quarry

Walkthrough

After completing First Trial of Trust, return to the City of Hernand and locate Bluemont Manor near the Plaza. Erich greets you at the entrance, expressing the Count's satisfaction with your earlier actions against the Bleed Bandits. He directs you inside to meet Count Roberts.

Inside the manor, Count Leon Roberts waits on the second floor. He acknowledges Kliff's growing reputation and explains that Karin Quarry, the Roberts family quarry, has been overrun by Bleed Bandits. The quarry is essential to the estate's finances, and Roberts promises generous compensation if Kliff can reclaim it. This sets up the next quest in the chain, Stolen Quarry.

Rewards

This quest has no Silver or Contribution EXP rewards. Its purpose is to advance the storyline and unlock the next quest.

Tips

• This is a dialogue-only quest with no combat. Take the opportunity to explore Bluemont Manor and interact with NPCs inside.

• Pay attention to Count Roberts's dialogue; it provides context for the entire Estate in Dismay chain.

• After this quest, Stolen Quarry becomes available immediately. That quest contains a boss fight, so prepare accordingly before heading to Karin Quarry.
