Traces in the Manor is the 37th main quest in Crimson Desert. There has been no word from Naira and Andrew, so Kliff heads to Glenbright Manor to track them down. When he arrives, the manor has been devastated, and the Devil of the Reed Field is responsible. This quest sets the stage for the supernatural investigation that dominates the rest of the sub-chapter.

Head south from the Greymane Camp following the quest marker. Glenbright Manor is the estate belonging to Count Alistair Grace. The ride there is straightforward with no mandatory encounters.
When you arrive at the manor gates, a cutscene shows the aftermath of a massacre. A body is thrown from the entrance. Enter the manor to find widespread destruction inside. Five guards ambush you in the entrance hall. Defeat them to proceed.
After the fight, go upstairs and turn right. Move through the hallway and enter the door ahead. In the left corner of the room, a wounded servant sits slumped against the wall. Interact with him (L1 + Square / LB + X) to hear his account.
The servant explains that the "Devil of the Reed Field" attacked the manor and killed almost everyone. Count Alistair Grace, along with Naira and Andrew, managed to escape through a window before the worst of the assault. The quest completes automatically, and the next quest (Nonhuman) begins immediately in the same room.
The five guards in the entrance hall are the only combat encounter. They are not particularly strong.
Count Alistair Grace is a new character introduced here. His relationship to the Reed Devil becomes a major plot point in the next few quests.
The Nonhuman quest starts immediately after this one without any transition, so be prepared to continue exploring from this location.
The ride south from Greymane Camp to Glenbright Manor is a long one. Using your horse is recommended since there are no mandatory combat encounters on the road. As you approach the manor gates, a cutscene triggers showing a corpse being thrown out of the entrance, immediately signaling that something has gone terribly wrong inside the estate.
The enemies inside the manor are members of the Reed Devil faction, not ordinary bandits or guards. Five of them ambush Kliff in the entrance hall as soon as he enters. Though these Reed Devil soldiers are not especially tough (comparable to standard mid-chapter enemies), the ambush can catch you off guard if you enter without your weapon drawn. Defeat all five to clear the path to the upper floor.
The destruction inside the manor is widespread. Bodies of nobles and servants are scattered throughout the halls, and the environment tells the story of a swift, violent raid. The Reed Devil faction tore through Glenbright Manor's defenses with little resistance.
After the fight, head upstairs and turn right. Move through the hallway and enter the main office. In the left corner of the room, a wounded servant sits slumped against the wall. Interacting with him (L1 + Square on PlayStation, LB + X on Xbox) triggers his account of the attack. The servant confirms that the "Devil of the Reed Field" personally led the assault, killing almost everyone in the manor. Crucially, he reveals that Count Alistair Grace, along with Naira and Andrew, managed to escape through an open window before the Reed Devil could reach them.
This is the first time Count Alistair Grace is introduced in the story. His role becomes significantly more important in the next few quests, especially once his personal connection to the Reed Devil is revealed during the Nonhuman quest.
