Overview

The Frostwarden is a faction quest for the Beighen Tribe, part of the Lantern-lit Frost quest line. The Beighen are a northern tribe located along the border of Demeniss at the southeastern tip of Pailune. The quest involves lighting lanterns in a frost-covered area, and completing it requires lighting all seven lanterns.

Objectives

• Travel to the Beighen Tribe's frost-covered territory

• Light all seven lanterns scattered across the area

• Complete the Frostwarden ritual

Tips

• The area features Antumbra wizards that zip through the air and shoot energy projectiles. Be prepared for ranged combat encounters.

• Search thoroughly for all seven lanterns; some may be hidden in elevated or obscured positions.

Location

The Frostwarden takes place at the Spire of Frost, an optional dungeon located east of the Beighen settlement. The Spire sits along the border of Demeniss and the Beighen territory, at the southeastern tip of Pailune. Before entering, players should equip ice-resistant armor and gear. The Reindeer Cloak, obtainable from a research site south of Scholastone, provides level 5 ice resistance and is highly recommended.

How to Enter

To unlock the entrance to the Spire of Frost, locate the stone lantern on the southern side of the structure. Use the Blinding Flash ability with "Concentrating Light" selected, or strike the lantern with fire or explosive weapons to melt the ice covering it. Once melted, interact with the lantern to open the doorway.

Walkthrough

1. Lantern 1: Light the entrance lantern to open the Spire's door. This counts as the first of seven lanterns.

2. Lantern 2: Descend the spiral stairs inside. At the bottom you will find a chest containing the Frozen Anguish two-handed sword and a Refined Palmar Pill. Continue upward to find and light the second stone lantern using fire or explosives.

3. Lantern 3: Turn right and ascend the outer steps. Use Axiom Force to grapple and seal an Abyss Cell into your Kuku Iron Pot. Light the third lantern along this path.

4. Lantern 4: At the top of the outer steps, seal another Abyss Cell. Continue up the interior staircase and light the fourth lantern.

5. Lanterns 5-6: Head back outside and continue ascending the structure. Light the fifth and sixth lanterns while clearing out Antumbra wizards along the way.

6. Lantern 7: Find the final lantern in the upper chamber near the tower's peak. Light it to complete the quest.

Enemies

The Spire of Frost is populated by Antumbra wizards that fly through the air and launch energy projectiles at Kliff. The frigid environment also causes temporary freezing effects, making ice resistance gear essential. Be prepared for ranged combat encounters throughout the ascent.

Rewards

• Frozen Anguish (two-handed sword, found in a chest near the bottom of the spiral stairs)

• Refined Palmar Pill (found in the same chest)

• Multiple Abyss Cells to seal throughout the Spire

• Unlocks the Passage of Malice Abyss branch upon completion
