Swift Flight is a Health Skill Tree ability available to Kliff and Damiane. It reduces air resistance during Flight, allowing you to fly faster and cover larger distances while gliding. Swift Flight transforms basic gliding from a slow descent into a rapid traversal tool, making it one of the most valuable exploration upgrades in the game.
When activated, Swift Flight lets you accelerate mid-glide for significantly faster horizontal travel. This is especially useful for crossing wide valleys, reaching distant Abyss challenge locations, and navigating between elevated points in the open world without touching the ground.
Property | Detail |
|---|---|
Skill Tree | |
Parent Skill | |
Stamina Cost | 50 Stamina per second |
Spirit Cost | None |
Characters | |
Flight Level | Level 2 |
Unlock Cost |
Upgrade the Flight skill to Level 2 to unlock Swift Flight. Each character must level the skill independently, so both Kliff and Damiane require their own investment of 1 Abyss Artifact. The base Flight skill is found in the Health (red) branch of the skill tree.
Level | Skill | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Level 1 | Basic gliding with standard speed | |
Level 2 | Swift Flight | Reduced air resistance, faster glide speed |
Swift Flight consumes 50 Stamina per second while active, which is significantly more than the base Flight ability. This drain means that long flights require careful monitoring of your Stamina bar. If Stamina runs out mid-flight, you will drop out of Swift Flight and revert to the slower standard glide. Investing in Stamina upgrades through the skill tree increases your maximum Stamina pool and makes extended Swift Flight use more sustainable.
Use Swift Flight for faster travel between distant locations and to reach elevated areas that would otherwise require long climbs.
The increased glide speed makes it easier to dodge aerial threats and outpace pursuing enemies while airborne.
When crossing large gaps or valleys, activate Swift Flight early to maximize horizontal distance before Stamina runs out.
Pair with Aerial Roll, a separate skill in the Health tree, for a complete airborne toolkit that includes both speed and evasion.
Swift Flight is particularly valuable during Abyss puzzle segments that require precise aerial navigation across wide open spaces.
Keep an eye on the Stamina bar and plan your landing zone before it empties. Running out of Stamina at high altitude can result in fall damage.
