Shadows in the Mist is a faction quest in Crimson Desert, part of the Scholastone Institute quest series. This quest takes place in the Hernand region.

Quest Details

Completion

Sir Catfish was cornered, but unfortunately escaped. Seething as if unable to accept defeat at human hands, he fled, vowing that this was not the end.

Tips

• Check the faction quest board regularly, as available quests rotate over time.

• Completing faction quests increases your reputation with the local faction, unlocking access to better vendors and rewards.

How to Unlock the Quest

Shadows in the Mist only becomes available after the Hernand faction story has reshaped the map. Clear House Roberts, House Alfonso, and House Circus until the Velia Fisherman's Guild is taken over by Sir Catfish. The quest marker then appears in the occupied Velia area, leading the player to confront him directly.

Rewards and Body Slam

Finishing the quest by defeating Sir Catfish delivers three rewards in one encounter:

• Voyages of Sir Catfish: book that reveals every shipwreck along the Hernand coast.

• Catfish Plate Helm: his signature headgear, dropped on defeat.

• Body Slam: learned through Watch and Learn during the fight when he uses the move against the player. See Body Slam for the full breakdown of the skill.
