Revision - romance and marriage - Crimson Desert Wiki

Romance and marriage were added to Crimson Desert by the Charting the Unknown expansion on October 29, 2026; the original base game had no romance. The system builds on the NPC Trust System: an additional trust level, raised by flirting, leads to a marriage proposal once it reaches 100. It requires the expansion.

A player character facing a villager who holds red flowers in a sunflower field — Courtship raises an additional trust level that leads to a proposal.

Who Can Be Romanced

All three playable characters, Kliff, Oongka and Damiane, can court NPCs. Whether an NPC can be romanced is shown in that NPC's interaction menu. Oongka and Damiane themselves are not romance options. Some NPCs require special conditions to be met first.

The Witches

Each witch can be romanced only after you complete that witch's sanctum quest. The four witches with sanctum questlines are romance options once those quests are done:

Witch	Condition
Elowen	Complete her sanctum quest
Bari	Complete her sanctum quest
Lyselia	Complete her sanctum quest
Areciel	Complete her sanctum quest

How Courtship Works

Courtship uses the NPC interaction menu that patch 2.04.00 reworked for all players:

Select Interact, then Flirt, to start raising the additional trust level with an NPC.
Keep building it with Flirt, then Gift or Chat.
Each interaction type can raise the additional trust level only once per day. After an interaction raises trust, the menu shows the wait time before the same interaction counts again.
When the additional trust level reaches 100, you can propose.

Flirting has a cost: if you flirt with an NPC as one playable character, that NPC's trust with the other two characters decreases.
