A highly common breed found in all regions. A reliable spawn point is east of the Hernand Bank.
To tame the Jindo, approach it in the wild and interact with it to begin building Trust. Dogs can be petted directly by pressing the interaction button. Each petting action grants +5 Trust, and you can pet up to five times per in-game day for a maximum of +25 Trust from petting alone.
You can also feed the Jindo up to three times per in-game day. Drop food from your inventory near the dog to feed it. Jindos prefer Sweet Potatoes as their favorite food, granting +35 trust per feeding. Their common appearance makes them one of the most accessible breeds to tame.
Once the Jindo reaches 100 Trust, hold the interaction button to register it as your companion. Dogs can often be tamed within one to two in-game days with consistent petting and feeding with their favorite food.
The Jindo's favorite food is Sweet Potato, which grants the maximum +35 Trust per feeding. Other accepted foods grant +10 Trust per feeding.
Dogs accept a wide variety of meat, fish, and prepared foods. Top food items include Small Bone and Large Bone (+25 pts each), followed by various cooked and raw meats (+10 to +20 pts). Daily feeding is limited to three times per in-game day, with the day resetting at midnight in-game time.
Like all pets in Crimson Desert, the Jindo automatically runs around the battlefield after combat and loots items from enemy corpses. Pets do not fight, attack enemies, or take damage. They function exclusively as automatic loot collectors.
Pets disappear when you mount your horse and reappear when you dismount. Only one pet can be active at a time, with remaining registered pets stored in your inventory's Pets tab.
The Jindo can wear Pet Equipment, including one headpiece and one body outfit at a time. Pet armor is purely cosmetic and does not provide combat stats. Pet cosmetics can be purchased from Milou's Shop in Pororin Village or the Demeniss Pet Tailor in the southeast corner of Demeniss.
The Jindo has 3 different appearance variants with different coat colors and patterns. All variants share the same favorite food, taming requirements, and abilities. The variant you encounter depends on the specific spawn location and sometimes the time of day.
Dogs are generally faster to tame than cats. With their favorite food, many dogs can reach 100 Trust within a single in-game day.
Petting resets daily at midnight in-game time. Plan your visits accordingly to maximize daily Trust gains.
Dogs looting ability works automatically after combat. There is no need to command or direct your pet to pick up items.
You can register up to 30 pets total. Completing the full roster unlocks the Natural Collector trophy.
