Is Cross Progression Available
July 22, 2026 at 07:22 AM
Corrected wikilink existence flags
Yes, as of Patch 1.14.00 (July 16, 2026). Crimson Desert now supports cross-save across the PlayStation, Xbox, Steam and Epic Games Store versions, so a single save file can carry your progress between them. Before that patch the answer was no: each platform kept entirely separate save data.
Cross-save is opt-in and runs through account linking. You link the platform accounts you play on to a Pearl Abyss account from the publisher's Crimson Desert account-linking page, and the linked platforms then share one save file. See Patch 1.14.00 for the release details and Save System for how saves are structured in-game.
Platform | Cross-Save Support |
|---|---|
Steam (PC and Mac) | Supported since 1.14.00 |
PlayStation 5 | Supported since 1.14.00 |
Xbox Series X|S | Supported since 1.14.00 |
Epic Games Store | Supported since 1.14.00 |
Mac App Store | Not listed in the 1.14.00 cross-save platform list |
A separate, older exception still applies. Buying Crimson Desert through the Xbox Store qualifies it for Xbox Play Anywhere: one purchase covers Xbox consoles and PC through the Microsoft Store app, and save data syncs between those two. That entitlement is independent of the 1.14.00 cross-save feature and does not extend to Steam, the Epic Games Store, or PlayStation.
Cross-save moves save files; it is not crossplay. Crimson Desert shipped as a single-player game, so cross-platform play does not apply. Pearl Abyss has not announced whether a future multiplayer mode would support it.
