Focused Aerial Roll is a new Kliff ability added to Crimson Desert in Patch 1.03.00, released April 11, 2026. It requires Focus Lv. 3, Flight Lv. 2, and the base Aerial Roll skill.
Focused Aerial Roll is a new character ability for Kliff that was added to Crimson Desert in Patch 1.03.00, released April 11, 2026. It is an advanced aerial maneuver that builds on the base Aerial Roll skill by layering in Focus-based precision. The ability extends Kliff's combat toolkit in the air, letting him weave offensive rolls through engagements rather than relying on simpler evasion patterns.
To unlock Focused Aerial Roll, players must meet three prerequisite conditions:
Focus Lv. 3 (the Focus skill branch upgraded to its third tier)
Flight Lv. 2 (the Flight skill branch upgraded to its second tier)
Aerial Roll (the base version of the skill unlocked)
All three must be active simultaneously before the Focused Aerial Roll prompt appears in the skill menu.
Like the base Aerial Roll, Focused Aerial Roll is performed mid-air after a jump or during flight. The Focused variant layers Kliff's Focus energy onto the maneuver, increasing the precision of the roll's trajectory and giving it tighter control. The result is an airborne dodge that lands Kliff in a more tactical position than a standard roll, making it especially useful during boss fights that combine ground and aerial phases.
Pearl Abyss described the ability as a response to community requests for deeper airborne combat options. Many players expressed that once Kliff unlocked Focus and Flight, the existing aerial move set felt shallow. Focused Aerial Roll gave a clear progression target that builds on multiple skill branches at once.
Added in Patch 1.03.00 alongside new abilities for Damiane and Oongka. Pearl Abyss also updated Damiane's Shield Toss and Oongka's Scatter Shot to match Kliff's Force Palm effect in the same patch.
