Overview

The Flower Petal Earring is an Earring accessory in Crimson Desert. With +5 Defense, it is one of the highest-defense earrings available, matching the Saint's Necklace in raw defensive output. It also features a unique Music Box active effect that plays a melody when activated. Players can equip up to two earrings at once.

The Flower Petal Earring's +5 Defense is substantially higher than earrings like the Oath of Darkness (+2 Defense) or the Engraved Gold Earring (+1 Defense), making it a strong pick for players who prioritize damage mitigation.

Stats

The +5 Defense is the highest known base Defense value on any earring. Combined with refinement bonuses, the Flower Petal Earring can become a cornerstone of a defensive accessory loadout.

Active Effect

The Flower Petal Earring has a unique active ability called Music Box. When equipped and slotted into the radial menu, pressing LT + RT (or the equivalent keyboard input) plays a melody that sounds like the singing of a spirit. This is a cosmetic and ambient effect rather than a combat buff, making it one of the few accessories in the game with a non-stat-based active ability.

The Music Box can be activated at any time during exploration or while standing idle. It does not consume resources or trigger a cooldown.

How to Obtain

The Flower Petal Earring is found inside the Mudridge Cabin Strongbox, located southeast of the Greymane camp near Porrorin Forest and the Unicorn Cliffs area. The cabin sits in a swampy region southeast of the Unicorn Cliffs, near Hernand.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Travel southeast from the Greymane camp toward the swampy region near Porrorin Forest.

2. Locate Mudridge Cabin. The area may be guarded by a few bandits that can be dispatched with ranged weapons.

3. Inside the cabin, find the strongbox mounted on the wall. It is locked behind a sliding tile puzzle.

4. Solve the puzzle by rearranging the tiles to form the complete picture. The puzzle requires approximately 10 moves to complete.

5. Open the strongbox after solving the puzzle. A Mask that allows criminal behavior must be equipped to pick up the earring.

The strongbox also contains Meliara's Lesser Elixir Recipe alongside the Flower Petal Earring.

Notes

• The Flower Petal Earring has the highest base Defense of any known earring in the game.

• The Music Box active effect is purely cosmetic and does not provide combat advantages.

• Mudridge Cabin is also the location of the Goblin King's Treasure Dagger, found in a separate chest underneath one of the cabins. Both items can be collected in a single trip.

• Mudridge Cabin is in a different region from the Hernand strongboxes, making this earring accessible during a separate part of the game's exploration.
