First Trial of Trust is the opening faction quest in the Estate in Dismay quest chain for House Roberts in the Duchy of Hernand. A servant of House Roberts approaches Kliff near Bluemont Manor, explaining that bandits in red clothing have been raiding the count's stores. Kliff is directed to Erich, the Roberts caretaker, at Muckroot Ranch to begin clearing the threat.
This quest becomes available during Chapter 2 and serves as the entry point to the House Roberts storyline. Completing it unlocks the rest of the Estate in Dismay chain.

Near the Plaza's Notice Board in the City of Hernand, a distressed servant of House Roberts stands in front of a house near Bluemont Manor. Speaking with him reveals that bandits wearing red have been raiding Count Roberts's stores and threatens the estate's livelihood. He directs you to Erich at Muckroot Ranch for further instructions.
Erich is seated in a flower field at Muckroot Ranch. He explains the severity of the bandit raids and asks Kliff to clear the Bleed Bandits from the Bluemont Cask House, where they have set up camp among the count's stored goods.
Travel to Bluemont Cask House and engage the Bleed Bandits camping there. A green progress bar tracks how many enemies remain. The bandits are clustered inside and around the building. Lure enemies out of the cask house one or two at a time to avoid fighting the entire group simultaneously. Once the progress bar is fully depleted, the location is liberated.

This is the easiest House Roberts quest and a good introduction to location liberation mechanics.
Pulling enemies out of the cask house to fight them individually makes the encounter much simpler, especially at lower levels.
Completing this quest is required to unlock Troubled Count and eventually access the Mining Knuckledrill from later quests in the chain.
The Bleed Bandits here are the same faction you will encounter throughout the Hernand region. Learning their attack patterns early helps in later, harder fights.
