Echoing Forward Slash

Fixed 3 broken wikilinks: abyss-tree -> kliff-skills, abyss-tree -> kliff-skills, abyss-artifacts -> abyss-artifact
Echoing Forward Slash is a Spirit Skill Tree ability exclusive to Kliff. When performing a Forward Slash, an illusion is automatically created that copies the attack. The echo strikes alongside you, effectively doubling the hit and significantly increasing your damage output with no additional resource cost.
This skill is the first unlock in the Nature's Echo branch, which is one of the strongest damage-boosting skill lines in the Spirit tree. Because the echo activates passively on every Forward Slash, it provides a permanent damage increase once unlocked.

Unlock Nature's Echo to gain Echoing Forward Slash at Level 1. Nature's Echo has two prerequisites that must both be met before it becomes available:
Keen Senses at Level 3
Forward Slash at Level 3
Once both prerequisites are satisfied, spend 1 Abyss Artifact to unlock Nature's Echo. Alternatively, Nature's Echo can be learned through skill observation during gameplay. When learning occurs, the screen darkens and a "Learning in Progress..." notification appears.
Echoing Forward Slash is the first skill in a three-level progression chain. Investing further into Nature's Echo unlocks additional echoing abilities:
Level | Skill | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Lv.1 | Illusion copies Forward Slash attacks | |
Lv.2 | Illusion copies Spinning Slash attacks | |
Lv.3 | Illusion copies charged Stab attacks |
All three levels share the same zero-cost passive mechanic. Maxing Nature's Echo to 3/3 is widely considered one of the best early skill investments because it doubles the damage of three core melee attacks for free.
The illusion attacks automatically, so you do not need to manage it separately. Just use Forward Slash as normal and the echo will strike at the same time, landing an extra hit on the same target.
Since it costs nothing, Echoing Forward Slash is a pure damage increase with no resource downside. This makes it especially valuable during long fights where Spirit management is tight.
Forward Slash at Level 3 gains a guaranteed-hit property with an extra hit that deals major damage to enemies and their stun bar. Combined with the echo, each Forward Slash becomes a multi-hit sequence that chunks through boss health and stagger meters quickly.
Pairs well with the dual-wield build recommended on Game8, where Forward Slash and Spinning Slash form the core of Kliff's melee rotation. The Blinding Flash Finisher can be woven between Forward Slash combos for AoE burst damage.
