Release Date and Platforms

Added per-region unlock times, euro and yen pricing, Xbox Play Anywhere, and the PAX West and Tokyo Game Show showings
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse launches on October 15, 2026, and every platform gets it on the same day. Konami has stated that date directly, and its own product listing renders it as 15-Oct-26.
Platform | Notes |
|---|---|
PlayStation 5 | Digital editions confirmed. No physical release is listed for this platform in the published retailer lists. |
Xbox Series X|S | Digital and physical. |
Xbox on PC | Digital. |
Steam (Windows) | Windows only. No macOS or Linux build is listed. |
Nintendo Switch | Digital and physical. Runs at 30 fps against 60 fps elsewhere. |
Xbox Play Anywhere | Confirmed on both editions in every locale checked. One purchase covers the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC versions. |
The game is single-player only. Konami has not announced a demo, and no demo listing appears on any of the storefronts. There is no announced version for any platform beyond the five listings above, and nothing has been said about additional hardware.
The Switch date arrived later than the rest and there is a superseded statement in circulation because of it. When pre-orders opened on June 8, 2026, Konami confirmed the date for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam, and said the Nintendo Switch date would be announced later. Konami then set that date in an update to its own information feed on July 15, 2026: Nintendo Switch also releases on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
The later statement is the current one. Any material still saying the Switch date is unannounced predates July 15, 2026.
The listings that print an exact unlock moment settle it. Each one resolves to local midnight on October 15.
Storefront locale | Unlock moment as printed | Local time |
|---|---|---|
United States | 10/15/2026 12:00 AM EDT | Midnight, October 15 |
United Kingdom | 14/10/2026 07:00 PM EDT | Midnight, October 15 |
Japan | 2026/10/14 11:00 AM EDT | Midnight, October 15 |
Germany | 14.10.2026 06:00 PM EDT | Midnight, October 15 |
One storefront renders its countdown in Pacific time, which is where the October 14 reading comes from. That same storefront's own announcement is headed with an October 15 launch date. Retail listings carry an October 15 street date. There is one global unlock instant and every surface agrees on it.
No preload or preinstall window has been announced. Nothing on any storefront listing or on Konami's own pages used the word as of September 15, 2026.
Some storefronts show October 14, 2026 rather than October 15. This is one global unlock rendered in different time zones rather than two dates: the listing that reads 14 October at 7:00 PM Eastern is midnight on 15 October in the United Kingdom. Konami's stated date is October 15, 2026.
Konami itself publishes no price in any territory, so every figure here comes from the storefront listings. No Nintendo eShop price has been established. Physical copies list at $39.99 in the United States. Full edition contents are on Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses.
Edition | United States | United Kingdom |
|---|---|---|
Digital Standard | $29.99 | £24.99 |
Digital Midnight | $39.99 | £34.99 |
Physical Midnight | Retailer pricing | Retailer pricing |
Digital Standard, Europe | 29,99 euros | |
Digital Midnight, Europe | 39,99 euros | |
Digital Standard, Japan | 3,850 yen | |
Digital Midnight, Japan | 4,950 yen |
Konami has not published a Japanese recommended price in the material available, so none is listed here. Full contents of each edition are on Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses.

Technical figures for each platform, including install sizes and frame rate, are on System Requirements and Technical Specifications.
No Nintendo Switch 2 version has been announced, and the absence is now better evidenced than it was. Konami's own exhibition material for September 2026 lists Nintendo Switch 2 explicitly as a platform for six of its other titles while listing this game as Nintendo Switch only. That is a document that distinguishes between the two platforms and places this game on one side of the line, rather than simply failing to mention the newer hardware.
It is still not a stated decision. Konami has published no explanation, and nothing rules out a later announcement. Treat the Nintendo Switch listing as the confirmed platform and treat anything about Nintendo Switch 2 as unannounced.
