The moving house is the player's base in Bloomwalker, and it travels with them. Netmarble has presented it as the main thing that separates the game from other crafting games: instead of building a base in one place, the player takes the base along. It sits at the center of both the 2025 and 2026 descriptions of the game, and the current store copy treats it as a companion as well as a base.
Language | Name |
|---|---|
English | Moving House (also written in lowercase on the store pages) |
Korean | 움직이는 집 |
Japanese | 動く家 |
According to the Steam store page, the player moves the house from sanctuary to sanctuary across Luminoa, stopping at resource-rich anchorages to explore the land around them. As the player goes deeper into the world the house grows with them, changing its appearance as it gains new functions, and it helps cleanse pollution and get past obstacles. Xbox's September 2026 feature calls it both the player's base and companion.
The PlayStation Store listing ties the house's growth to research. Materials gathered while exploring are used for research, and the house is rebuilt in a grander form as a result. The same listing says the results of Crafting are used to grow the house. No official source lists specific upgrades, functions or stages for the house as of September 2026.
A door inside the house leads to the Pocket Dimension, a separate space where the player builds and decorates. The PlayStation Store listing describes that space as far wider than the outside of the house suggests.
Netmarble's 2025 announcement named the moving house as the main difference between Bloomwalker and other crafting games. The idea is to remove the problem of committing to a badly placed base: the player can relocate whenever they want and settle somewhere new. Park Ki-bin, planning team lead at Netmarble Neo, said in a gamescom 2025 interview that the house was added so players could explore without worrying about early mistakes. He also tied the game's name to it, describing flowers blooming on purified ground with each step the house takes.

The house was designed to expand inward rather than outward. In the same interview, Park Ki-bin said a magic door enlarges the interior, so the outside of the house stays small while the inside has room to decorate.
The playable demo at gamescom 2025 (August 20 to 24, 2025) showed an earlier version of the house. The details below come from an Xbox hands-on preview, Korean hands-on coverage and a gamescom 2025 interview. Apart from the house moving and helping with purification, 2026 material has not mentioned these details.

Feature | As Shown in the 2025 Demo |
|---|---|
Movement | The house moved on its own. Park Ki-bin said players will be able to steer it freely in the full game. |
Legs | The house walked on two large mechanical legs. |
Purification | The ground around the house was restored as it moved, but its purification power ran down over time. |
Purification gauge | Purification crystals filled a gauge that let the house keep moving. |
Crystals | Gathered resources were fed to Kettlekid, a hungry cauldron-like creature, to make crystals, which Oddlings carried to the house (see Higgledies). |
Interior | A celestial-themed bedroom, bigger inside than out, entered with no loading screen or transition. |
Resident | A talking black cat lived in the house and told the player their next goal. |
Threats | Monsters could raid the player's base area without warning. |
The 2025 interview said the black cat is tied to the purification of the world and hides a secret that has not been revealed. Previews disagree on the cat's name, and the cat had not appeared in 2026 store or press copy as of September 2026.
The 2026 store copy still says the house helps cleanse pollution, and it also describes purification tools the player makes, covered on Cleansing and Purification. The purification gauge and crystals had not been mentioned in official material since 2025 as of September 2026.
