Crafting is one of the core systems of Bloomwalker, which Netmarble calls a cozy crafting adventure. The current store copy describes it as a shared activity. The player does not craft alone; each step depends on a companion, and the results feed back into restoring the world and growing the player's friendships.
How Crafting Works
The Steam store page and the PlayStation Store listing describe the same chain:

The player befriends familiars through conversation and gifts.
As friendships deepen, familiars unlock new formulas and facilities. The PlayStation Store listing calls these facility formulas.
Higgledies gather materials and deliver them.
Facilities process those materials into finished goods.
The goods become tools for restoring villages, housing, or gifts that bring the player closer to familiars.
Gifts made through crafting deepen friendships with familiars, which in turn unlock more formulas, so the system loops back on itself. The Steam store page also mentions new crafting paths opening up as friendships grow.
What Crafting Produces
Output | Use (2026 store copy) |
|---|---|
Tools | Restoring villages; purification tools restore tainted land, plants and animals (Cleansing and Purification) |
Facilities | Built in the Pocket Dimension to process materials into goods |
Housing | Building housing |
Gifts | Given to familiars to deepen friendships |
House growth | Crafted results are used to grow the moving house |
The PlayStation Store listing also says crafting helps rebuild villages in need and bring scattered residents back. As of September 2026, no official source listed individual recipes, materials, tools or facility names.
In the gamescom 2025 Demo
The gamescom 2025 demo (August 20 to 24, 2025) showed a crafting setup tied to keeping the house moving. These details come from an Xbox hands-on preview, and 2026 material has not mentioned them.

Players gathered berries, apples, honey and special materials such as luminite.
Gathered resources were fed to Kettlekid, a hungry cauldron-like creature, which turned them into purification crystals.
Oddlings carried the crystals to the house to refill its purification gauge.
A wooden crafting table, which also had legs, made leafy beds and tents for tired Oddlings.
A larger group of Oddlings sped up automated tasks such as moving crystals from Kettlekid to the house.
Netmarble's 2025 announcement listed gathering resources for crafting and decoration as one of four core activities, next to exploring unknown regions, cleansing polluted land and bonding with companions. The 2025 reveal called the small companions Oddlings; 2026 material calls them higgledies.
Design Intent
Netmarble's 2025 materials contrasted Bloomwalker with crafting games that lean toward survival and hardcore mechanics, saying it emphasizes emotion and healing instead. Park Ki-bin, planning team lead at Netmarble Neo, said in a gamescom 2025 interview that the team hoped its environmental theme and emotional tone would draw more players to the crafting genre.
