Overview

Kunai is a mysterious swordswoman players encounter during their journey in Beast of Reincarnation. She wields a katana and is accompanied by a horse-like Malefact as her own companion — making her a direct foil to Emma and Koo.

Allegiance

Kunai's allegiance is deliberately ambiguous. She is not described as either an ally or antagonist — simply as "a swordswoman players will cross paths with." Her colder approach toward enemies contrasts with Emma's personality, and analysts have noted that she serves as the perfect foil for the protagonist duo, with an eventual duel between her and Emma seeming plausible.

Connection to Brad

Kunai has been observed in suspicious circumstances with Brad. In one scene, Kunai was conversing with Brad and asking for Koo's name while Koo was already whimpering and limping from an arrow wound. This raised questions among viewers about whether Brad and Kunai were responsible for Koo's injuries, adding layers of distrust to both characters.

Malefact Companion

Like Emma, Kunai has formed a bond with a Malefact — in her case, a horse-like creature that serves as her mount. This parallel is significant: two women, each bonded with a Malefact, each wielding a katana, yet seemingly on different paths. The existence of another human-Malefact partnership challenges the assumption that Emma and Koo's bond is unique.
