Settings and Controller Support

Add an original settings reference with PC controller pairing and the existing Steam Input workaround
Aniimo has camera, targeting, display, audio and invitation settings alongside native controller input on PC. Start with targeting aids, then tune sensitivity and visual density for the device and input method being used.
These are suggested starting choices, rather than a requirement for every player. Automatic movement and camera following can change how a skill or target switch feels, so test them during an ordinary encounter before a difficult run.
Setting | Suggested starting choice | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
Auto Lock-On After Attack | On | Keep attention on the target after attacking. |
Always Follow the Locked-on Target | Chase Camera | Have the camera follow the locked target. |
Auto-Adjust Camera When Not Locked On | On | Allow automatic camera adjustment outside lock-on. |
Auto-Approach Target When Using Skills | On | Move toward the target when using a skill. |
Target Lock-On Indicator Line | On | Distinguish the selected target in a group. |
Show Counter Information | On | Keep counter information visible. |
UI Hints | On while learning | Retain interface prompts until familiar with the controls. |
BINI #9 Assist Frequency | Maximum as an optional starting point | Choose how often the assistant provides help. |
Camera Sensitivity, Catch Mode horizontal and vertical sensitivity, Crosshair Snap Strength and Crosshair Friction Strength can be tuned separately. A suggested starting band is 1-5; that recommendation does not define the maximum range of every slider. Adjust the camera first, then the catch-mode aim aids, rather than changing all five together.
Group | Options to review |
|---|---|
Catch input | Hold to enter Catch Mode; choose the behavior that suits the input device. |
Status display | HP Display Mode and counter information. |
Companion invitations | Auto-Accept Companion Mode Requests and Auto-Accept Companion Mode Invitations are separate choices. |
Map marks | Display your own marks, shared Mysterious Pathfinder marks, friend marks and stranger marks according to the information wanted on the map. |
Use the Video preset that suits the device, then review the number of wild Aniimo, Pathfinder Aniimo, other Pathfinders and scene objects displayed. These population settings are separate from the master video preset. A setting recommendation does not establish a measured frame-rate improvement on a particular device.
Master Volume, Music, SFX and Voice-Over have separate controls. Voice chat also has Auto-Join a Voice Channel and Chat Mode. Choose these independently of display density and invitation acceptance.
PC supports Xbox and PlayStation controllers through native input. The client detects a connected controller and changes its input prompts. A DualShock 4 can display the DualSense diagram in the input menu.
For a wired connection, plug the controller into a PC USB port and start the game.
For Bluetooth, open Windows Settings, then Bluetooth & devices. Enable Bluetooth and choose Add device, then Bluetooth.
Put the controller in pairing mode: hold the Xbox Pair button until its logo flashes, or hold the PlayStation button with Create or Share until the light bar blinks.
Select the controller in Windows and return to the game.
If the Steam version does not respond to a connected controller, the published workaround is to open the game's Steam Properties, select Controller, choose Disable Steam Input and restart the game. Known Issues keeps this workaround separate from the other launch faults and fixes.
Unstuck returns the Pathfinder to an activated travel point. Use it when caught in geometry. Report Progress Blocker is the separate option for a bug that prevents the story from advancing; the PC support shortcut is F10.
Twining explains C, party-slot selection and Command Mode on PC. Catching and Aniipods covers aiming and capture tools. Servers and Cross-Play lists released platforms, while System Requirements covers hardware and device-specific performance guidance.
