Aniimo is a cross-platform online game, and where a Pathfinder plays and who they can play with are set by two separate things: the platform the game runs on, and the regional server the account lives on.
Platforms at Launch
Platform | Launch Date | Status as of September 27, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
PC | September 16, 2026 | Released |
PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro | September 16, 2026 | Released |
Xbox Series X and Series S | September 16, 2026 | Released |
Xbox cloud gaming | September 16, 2026 | Released |
iOS | September 23, 2026 | Released |
Android | September 23, 2026 | Released |
GeForce NOW (cloud streaming) | Support announced September 17, 2026 | Supported; needs a GeForce NOW membership |
The launch was staggered by a week. PC, consoles and cloud went live on September 16, 2026 and mobile followed on September 23, 2026, with full cross-progression: the same account on the same server carries its progress, resources and party lineups between phone, PC and console. PlayStation support covers the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 5 Pro; the studio has said plainly that PlayStation 4 play and purchases are not supported, and Xbox support is the ninth-generation consoles only, with no Xbox One version. On Xbox the game carries Play Anywhere, so a purchase on one Xbox platform carries to the other.
Mac was named as a launch platform in official mid-2026 material and it is still part of the game's stated platform line-up, but as of September 27, 2026 the PC store listing still declares Windows only with an empty Mac requirements block, the game's own download configuration carries client entries for Windows, iOS and Android with no Mac entry of any kind, and no Mac client has appeared on any storefront that carries the game. The iOS app is not a route either: its App Store listing names iPhone, iPad and iPod touch compatibility only, so it is not offered on Apple silicon Macs. Treat Mac availability as announced rather than shipped.
Cloud Streaming
Two cloud routes exist alongside the native clients. Xbox cloud gaming was a launch platform. Since September 17, 2026 the game has also been supported on GeForce NOW, NVIDIA's cloud gaming service, which streams it to PCs, SHIELD TV, Chromebooks and Amazon Fire TV Stick devices or through a supported browser. The game stays free there, but playing it that way needs a GeForce NOW membership, on the Free, Performance or Ultimate tier.
PC Storefronts
The PC version is distributed through several storefronts rather than one, which is worth knowing because the paid pre-order packs are not sold on all of them.
Storefront | Base Game | Paid Editions |
|---|---|---|
Steam | Free | Not sold |
Epic Games Store | Free | Not confirmed |
Microsoft Store | Free | Sold |
Console stores | Free | Sold |
App Store | Free | Not listed separately |
Google Play | Free | Not listed separately |
The game's own site links six storefronts in total: Steam, the Epic Games Store, the Microsoft and Xbox Store, the PlayStation Store, Google Play and the App Store. The Google Play listing went up ahead of the mobile release and is the sixth of those. It switched from pre-registration to install when mobile launched, and as of September 27, 2026 it shows user ratings but still no usable download count.
Regional Servers
The international build runs on three named regional servers.
Server | Region |
|---|---|
Aniimo-America | The Americas |
Aniimo-Europe | Europe |
Aniimo-Apac | Asia and the Pacific |
These are the same three shards used during the closed beta, where they appeared under both short and long names, and the beta schedule ran them on their own local clocks: Apac on UTC+8, Europe on UTC+0, and the Americas on UTC-4. A character lives on one of them.
The three servers opened at the same instant on launch day, written locally as 22:00 on September 15, 2026 in the Americas (UTC-4), 02:00 on September 16 in Europe (UTC+0) and 10:00 on September 16 in the Asia-Pacific region (UTC+8). Those three lines are the clearest proof that the two calendar dates people quote for the launch are one moment rather than two.
Server data is independent; platform data is not. Progress is fully shared across every platform inside a single server, and nothing is shared between servers. On PlayStation 5 the server is assigned automatically from the account's store region, and there is no cross-server transfer. Achievements and trophies are supported on both console families, and their progress is shared across platforms within the same server. Account handling is covered on Accounts and Aniimo Pass.
Clients from the closed beta tests can no longer be used, and test data was neither carried over nor retained. The studio warned before launch that the first day would bring login queues and slower loading while the servers filled.
Mainland China is served separately from the international build, on its own site and its own storefront, with its own operator and its own publishing licence. Taiwan is handled by a regional agent.
Cross-Play
Cross-platform multiplayer is a stated design pillar rather than an add-on, and it is listed as a capability on both the PC and Xbox versions. Cross-platform co-op and cross-platform multiplayer are both supported, and the console listing puts online co-op at two to four players. The same listing marks the game as available on PC, Xbox Series X and S, and handheld devices. Whether online play on Xbox consoles needs a paid subscription tier is unresolved as of September 17, 2026: the console listing attaches a generic subscription note to its cloud play action, and no first-party statement settles it either way. The game itself is free and does not require Xbox Live Gold.
The PlayStation version requires an online connection, supports Remote Play, and requires the DualSense controller's vibration and adaptive trigger functions.
Language Support
The PC client ships in thirteen languages, four of them with full voice: English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean carry full audio, and French, German, Russian, Indonesian, Thai, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Vietnamese and Traditional Chinese are interface and subtitle only. Multi-language voiceover for the main story was added for launch, and translation quality was improved across every supported language at the same time.
The Xbox listing declares a wider set of locales than the PC client does. Where the two disagree, the PC client's thirteen are the ones tied to the actual game build.
