Egg Heist and PvP

Added Chaos Mode and the launch expansion of Egg Heist, AI teammate support, and the launch server names
Aniimo includes competitive and cooperative multiplayer, headlined by a player-versus-environment-versus-player mode called Operation: Egg Heist. The game is built for shared, cross-platform play, so Pathfinders on different devices can adventure and compete together.

Egg Heist takes place in the Lost Isles, a region set aside for the mode. In its core form, three-player teams race in real time to find and secure eggs while dealing with wild Aniimo and rival teams at the same time. A larger variant called Diamond Egg Heist expands the contest to six teams of three Pathfinders.
Studio-published statistics from the Global Closed Beta counted more than 33,000 Egg Heist runs, with 87.7 percent of them ending in a successful extraction.
The launch build expanded the mode in two ways. More egg types are obtainable, and a new high-difficulty variant called Chaos Mode was added. The studio said at the same time that its competitive event modes would continue to be refined after release, so Egg Heist is being treated as a live mode rather than a finished one.
Variant | Team Structure |
|---|---|
Egg Heist | Three-player teams |
Diamond Egg Heist | Six teams of three |
Chaos Mode | High difficulty, added at launch |
Not all multiplayer is competitive. Players can team up for cooperative boss encounters, pooling their Aniimo against tougher foes, with Bubbask and Coraliz headlining those fights. Holo-Battle Interlink gained AI teammate support at launch, so a player short of a party can still attempt it. Pathfinder Challenges gained a rematch option.
The world also encourages players to meet and interact, both out in Idyll and in the social spaces above it, and a new soil-tilling interaction lets a Pathfinder work another player's Homeland for a share of the harvest.
Aniimo supports a player-to-player exchange system, letting Pathfinders trade creatures with one another. Creatures hatched from beta-sealed eggs are the exception: those are account bound and cannot be traded.
With cross-platform play, these social systems connect players across PC, console and mobile. The store listing confirms the multiplayer feature set directly: online PvP, online co-op, and cross-platform multiplayer alongside single-player, with full controller support including DualSense and DualShock pads. Exact rules, rewards, and matchmaking details have not been fully revealed.
Players are grouped onto three regional servers rather than a single global shard: Aniimo-Americas, Aniimo-Europe and Aniimo-Apac. During the Global Closed Beta the same three ran under short forms, each on its own schedule, with no progress shared between them. Cross-play is a design pillar within a server rather than a promise to merge the regions. See Servers and Cross-Play for the full platform and server picture, and Development for the test window those servers ran on.
