Espers are individuals with supernatural abilities who play a crucial role in combating Chaos in Ananta. All main playable characters and some NPCs are Espers, each possessing unique powers and backstories.

Overview

Espers are humans who have developed supernatural abilities, making them uniquely suited to investigate and combat the paranormal threats posed by Chaos. Each Esper has a distinct set of powers that manifests differently in combat and exploration.

The Infinite Trigger

The player character, known as Captain, holds the title of 'Infinite Trigger' - the best Esper detective in Nova City. This elite investigator navigates the city confronting anomalies and supernatural occurrences while working to recover lost memories that may hold the key to saving the world.

Abilities

Esper abilities vary widely between individuals:

• Captain - Tentacle-like appendages for combat and traversal

• Taffy - Enhanced speed and vehicle transformation abilities

• Dila - Control over celestial objects and meteors

• Mechanika - Ability to animate and control machines

• Seymour - Advanced technological and hacking capabilities

Role in Society

Espers serve critical roles in Nova City's defense against supernatural threats. Many are employed by the Anti-Chaos Directorate or work alongside law enforcement.
